What are the rules?

Rules are discretion, the bottom line and character.

The ancients said: "no rules, no radius."

Life in the world, communication with people, self-cultivation, everywhere is inseparable from rules.

Rules are a measure

The ancients said, "too much is better than too little" and "when things reach the extreme, they will turn back".

In dealing with the world, a sense of discretion is particularly important.

In life, some people are not deep, do not understand, neither humble nor arrogant, nor understand properly.

He always takes his open mouth as his straightforward character. He never talks on any occasion and is unimportant, which is embarrassing.

As everyone knows, words that ignore the feelings of others will eventually bury a curse for themselves.

Such people will be bored and despised wherever they go.

Zengguang Xianwen says:

"Leave half a sentence to your mouth, and let three points when things come to an end; be worldly minded, speak less, see through human feelings, but nod."

When talking to people, no matter how good the topic is, it is also taboo to chatter. If you speak too long, it will only reduce the interest of chatting.

If you lose your sense of propriety, you will only expose your vulgarity, shallowness and arrogance.

A long speech is better than a point, and a long talk is better than a concise and comprehensive speech.

"Silence is golden". Timely silence is not only self-cultivation, but also a realm.

Rules are a bottom line

"Han Feizi" said: "hang balance and know flat, set rules and know round."

In life, rules are an indispensable ruler in everyone's heart, which hides a person's bottom line and principles.

The bottom line is the critical point between man and beast.

If a man loses his moral bottom line, he is no different from a lower animal in human skin.

Such a person, because of poverty, will do harm to nature and justice, but also because of suffering, will have a sinister and cunning heart.

Day after day, he sold the bottom line against his conscience and let his life enter a dark dead end.

Writer Feng Jicai said:

"Only by holding the bottom line can one obtain a successful self and a successful life."

People who have no bottom line, even if they have more, are doomed to be losers.

On the contrary, those who always stick to the bottom line, even if they are poor, are spiritually rich.

Tao Yuanming, China's first pastoral poet, was brilliant, but wandered between official and farming. Later, he simply retired to the countryside.

All this stems from his unwillingness to break his bottom line.

Tao Yuanming is clean and honest. He never clings to powerful people or flatters them.

Instead, he chose to stick to the principle all his life and give his talent to poetry, which will last forever.

Only when people live in the world and have a bottom line in mind can they be magnanimous and innocent all their life.

Rules are a kind of character

Bai Yansong once said:

"Character is the highest degree, and the unity of virtue and talent is the real wisdom and talent."

Virtue is better than talent, and quality is better than money.

Zeng Guofan's younger brother Zeng Guoquan is full of knowledge and extraordinary ability. Unfortunately, he is a man of talent and no virtue.

He could have made a breakthrough with his own ability, but he chose to pervert the law and was dismissed by the imperial court.

It is not an example that Zeng Guoquan missed his future because of his improper mind. There are countless such things in life.

Yang, an engineer with a bright future, was criminally detained by the police for 480 times in order to save money.

No matter how strong your ability is, it's not worth mentioning in front of your character.

The ancients said, "goodness is like water, and virtue carries things."

Behave well and conduct naturally. Even if the road ahead is narrow, it can be wider and wider.

On the contrary, those who concentrate on taking shortcuts will sooner or later end up in their own tricks.

Those who ignore the rules are doomed to fail.

Huainan Confucius said:

"If the moment is not correct, it cannot be square; if the gauge is not correct, it cannot be round."

The state has its laws, and the family has its rules. You are born a man. You can't ignore the rules.

The ruler of everyone's heart should be used to measure himself.

"Worthy of heaven, worthy of man, worthy of heart", three provinces every day and self-improvement are the respect for life.
