1. Thunder 作名词
There is thunder.
打雷了。
Are you scared of thunder?
你害怕打雷吗？
Thunder only happens when it's raining.
下雨的时候才打雷。

2. Thunder 作动词
It's thundering.
正在打雷。
You can cover your ears when it thunders.
打雷的时候可以捂住耳朵。
3. A rumble of thunder 一阵雷声（口语）
Did you hear that rumble of thunder?
你听见雷声了吗？
4. A peal of thunder, a clap of thunder, a crash of thunder, a roll of thunder 一阵雷声（书面语）
The peal of thunder warned us of the coming rain.
雷声警示我们雨就要来了。
5. Boom 轰轰声
The thunder goes boom.
雷声轰轰。
这句话是和小宝宝说的。
6. Rumble 隆隆作响
The thunder is rumbling.
雷声隆隆作响。
肚子咕咕叫也用rumble：
Your stomach is rumbling.
你的肚子咕咕直叫。
Peal, clap, crash, roll也可以作动词来描述打雷，如：The thunder clapped. 刚才打雷来着。
7. Roar 呼啸
When thunder roars, go indoors.
打雷时请呆在室内。
The thunder roared.
雷声呼啸。
Roar形容打雷一般不用于日常口语中，可用于故事中。
8. Lightning 闪电
请大家注意lightning✔的拼写，不要漏掉n，变成lighting✘，也不要多加e，变成lightening✘。
There's lightning.
打闪了。
There's thunder and lightning.
雷电交加。
We see lightning before we hear thunder.
我们先看见闪电，后听见雷声。
9. A flash of lightning 一道闪电（强调快速和光亮）
A flash of lightning lit up the night sky.
一道闪电点亮了夜空。
10. A bolt of lightning 一道闪电（强调威力）
A bolt of lightning crackled through the sky.
一道闪电划破天空。
The man was struck by a bolt of lightning.
这个人被雷击了。
11. Flash 闪光
Lightning is flashing in the sky.
闪电划过长空。
12. Strike 雷击
Don't stand under a tree in a thunderstorm. You might get struck by lightning.
雷雨天不要站在树下，你会遭到雷击的。
中文里我们说“雷击”，英文里说被lightning“闪电”击中。
