下面是丁丁老师的分类结论，看看你与老师的结论吻合不吻合？
一、④和⑤：many more 复数可数名词，more是限定词，many也是限定词，均修饰后面的复数名词。
二、①和②中的many more承前省掉了people；③中的many more承前省掉了problems。many是限定词，more是代词。
三、⑥much修饰形容词比较级more confident，much是副词。
四、⑦和⑨：much more 不可数名词，more是限定词，much也是限定词，分别修饰后面的不可数名词fun和crude oil。
五、⑧中的more是不定代词，作understand的宾语，much是限定词，修饰more。⑩中的more也是不定代词，作done的宾语，much是限定词，修饰more。
千万别说整这些东西没有用！我们学英语不仅仅只是为了考试，而是要学correct，standard and authentic英语！这样吧，丁丁老师请你翻译一句简单的汉语：我的书房的书比你的多好多！
我的译文是
I have many/a lot/plenty more books in my library than you do in yours.
或者是

你做对了吗？
不少朋友说，修饰比较级的程度常常用far, much, still, a lot , a little, a bit, rather, slightly, three times，怎么又钻出来一个many呢？不仅同学们有这样的疑问，我国出版的语法著作不少也不把many包括在比较级的修饰语范围内，甚至有人著文说这种用法是错误的。但在A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language(即Quirk等人编写的《英语语法大全》（CGEL）527页(英文版386页)是这样说的：
在比较不同的总数和总量时，独立形式的many/much和a few/a little可以用在比较级more，fewer和less的前面：
Michael Swan在Practical English Usage一书的169页(第二版翻译本)说：
在more修饰复数名词时，用many来修饰，不用much，试比较：
much/far/a lot/etc more money
many/far/a lot /etc more opportunities
下面我们再看几个句子：
[1] We began to see many more people, but I wasn’t surprised.（04人教新课标版必修一59页）我们开始看到更多的人，但我并不感到惊讶。
此句中的more是many的比较级，做people的定语，而它前面的many则是比较级的修饰语。注意是many more，而不是much more。当然many可以换做a lot，far或plenty。
[2] In 1940 the civil authorities reformed the system so thatmany more Chinese people were able to grasp the opportunity of settling in the USA. (04人教新课标选修八8页) 1940年，民政局改革了这一制度，使更多的中国人能够抓住在美国定居的机会。
[3] Since the 1980s a lot more have settled there. (04人教新课标选修八3页) 自20世纪80年代以来，有更多的人定居在那里。
[4] There’ll be a lot more people here in about five year’s time. (81年版人教版高一118页)五年后这儿将聚集更多的人。
[5] A delivery man can carry many more plastic containersthan containers made of wood or glass.（赵振才英语常见问题解答大辞典809页）送货员拿塑料容器要比拿木质或玻璃容器多的多。
[6] There are many more people looking for jobs than finding them every summer.（赵振才英语常见问题解答大辞典809页）每年夏天找工作的人比找到工作的人多的多。
