大连市金州高级中学始建于1946年春季，是由金州区政府创办的第一所独立高中。校址在原金县孔庙，校名为“金县县立中学”。1949年5月学校搬迁金州区北山路1592号（原地主张本发大院），2004年10月7日迁入新址，即大连市金州区拥政街道新建村78号。
