I. Signing for a Package 签收快递
1. We can't go out until one o'clock. I am waiting for a delivery.
咱们1点前不能出去。我在等一个快递。
Delivery指的是接收快递或者外卖的这个事件，而package指快递的物品，是parcel（包裹）、thick envelop（大信封）等形式的统称。
2. The intercom is ringing, it must be the courier. Let mommy press the unlock button to let him in.
对讲机响了，肯定是快递。妈妈按一下开锁键，他就能进来了。
Courier ['ku:riə] 这个词既可以指快递员（delivery man），也可以指快递公司（delivery company）。
3. Oh no, the button doesn't work. I have to go downstairs to sign for the package. Please stay at home by yourself for a little while.
哎呀，按键不管用。我得下楼签收快递。你一人在家呆一小会儿。
II. Picking up the Package 取快递
4. Do you want to go with mommy to pick up our package from the guard house?
你想和妈妈一块去门卫室取快递么？
(1) Pick up是英语中非常常用的词组，从地上捡起东西，接孩子，取某物等都用它。
(2) Guard house指的是大门旁边的独立的小房子，在楼里的保安室叫security office，前台叫front desk或者reception，物业办公室叫management（property management的简称）office。
5. Our package is stored in the locker. Let's enter the password and open the box.
咱们的快递被存到储物柜里了。咱们输一下密码，打开箱子。
6. Oh, this box is too heavy. We have to carry it home together.
这个箱子太沉了。咱们俩得一起抬回家。
7. We are finally home. Mommy can unwrap the package now. Cut the tape, tear if off, and open the box.
终于到家了。妈妈现在可以拆快递了。剌一下胶条，把胶条撕下来，把箱子打开。
Unwrap用在箱子被包裹得比较严实的情况，形象地翻译出了“拆”的过程，unpack指把每一样东西从箱子里拿出来。
III. Ordering Food Delivery 点外卖
8. It's so hot outside and we'd better stay inside. Let's just order our lunch online.
外面太热了，咱们最好呆在室内。午饭就在网上点点儿外卖吧。
9. Oh, this restaurant is out of the 3-km delivery range. Let me search for another one.
哦，这家餐厅不在3公里配送范围内。我再搜一个。

和中文一样，我们不管送餐小哥叫快递员，这里的delivery man也不能替换成courier。
