Matching Game
对对碰
Child: Mom, will you play the matching game with me?
宝宝：妈妈，你能和我玩对对碰吗？
Mom: Sure! Why don't we use this popsicle matching game?
妈妈：当然！咱们用这个冰棍配对玩具吧。
冰棍有popsicle (AE)、ice pop、ice lolly (BE)等说法。
Child: Woo, yummy!
宝宝：哇，我都馋了！
How do we play?
怎么玩呢？
Mom: Well, in this set, we have 24 tiles,
妈妈：嗯，这套里有24张卡牌、
硬一点的卡牌叫tile，当然也可以叫card-卡片。
and 12 kinds of popsicles,
12种冰棍，
which means there are two of each kind of popsicle.
也就是说每种冰棍儿有两张。
We are going to find the matching pairs.
我们要配对。
Let's start with four pairs to make it easy.
咱们一开始先玩四对，这样比较简单。
Why don't you choose the flavors?
你来选口味吧。
Child: Okay! They look so tasty.
宝宝：好！它们看起来好好吃啊。
I'll have the chocolate ice cream with strawberry icing and sprinkles,
我要选有草莓糖衣和糖针的巧克力冰激凌、
这套玩具叫ice pops，但是其中的含奶油的几款属于ice cream。
watermelon, Neapolitan, and orange creamsicle!
西瓜、那不勒斯三色还有橙子奶昔！
Neapolitan指草莓、香草、巧克力三个口味搭配在一起的冰激凌，起源于意大利城市Naples-那不勒斯，Neapolitan是它的形容词-那不勒斯的。
Mom: Great! We start by mixing all the tiles up.
妈妈：好的！我们先把卡牌混在一起。
Can you do that?
你能负责这个吗？
Child: Yup!
宝宝：能！
Mom: Lay them out in two rows, face down for now.
妈妈：现在把它们扣着摆成两排。
Then, we take turns trying to match them.
然后我们轮流配对。
Flip two tiles at once.
一次只能翻开两张。
I'll go first.
我先来。
☀ Mom flips over two 妈妈翻开两张
Mom: Darn, they don't match.
妈妈：唉，它们不是一对。
Your turn.
该你了。
☀ Child flips over two 宝宝翻开两张
Child: They don't match, either!
宝宝：它们也不成对！
Mom: Well, we keep going until we get a pair.
妈妈：嗯，我们继续玩直到翻出一对。
If you get a pair, you get to go again in the same turn.
如果你翻出一对，你可以接着再翻一次。
☀ Mom tries again – no match 妈妈又试了一次——没成对
Mom: Whoever has the most pairs at the end wins.
妈妈：谁最后配出的对多谁赢。
☀ Child tries again 宝宝又试了一次
Child: I got a match!
宝宝：我翻到一对！
I got the watermelon pair! Tasty.
我翻到一对西瓜！真好吃。
Mom: Good job!
妈妈：真棒！
You get to go again.
你可以再翻一次。
☀ Child flips again 宝宝又翻了一次
Child: Let's see!
宝宝：看看啊！
It's Neapolitan and… orange creamsicle.
是那不勒斯三色和橙子奶昔。
Man, I didn't get it.
得，我没成功。
Your turn.
该你啦。
☀ Mom flips over two 妈妈翻开两张
Mom: I got a set – orange creamsicle.
妈妈：我翻到一对儿——橙子奶昔。
Now I'm going to pick these two.
现在我挑这两张。
Oh no, they don't match.
哎呀，它们不是一对。
Your turn.
该你了。
☀ Child flips over two 宝宝翻开两张
Child: Neapolitan.
宝宝：那不勒斯三色。
I know which one to pick next.
我知道下一张挑哪个。
I saw it before.
我之前看到过。
Got it!
翻到了！
Mom: You are very good at memory games!
妈妈：你很擅长记忆游戏呢！
What's left is the last pair
剩下的就是最后一对儿了，
which should be yours, too.
也是你的了。
Child: chocolate with strawberry icing!
宝宝：草莓糖衣巧克力！
I win!
我赢了！
How lucky!
好幸运啊！
Can we play another round?
咱们再玩一局好吗？
Mom: Sure, and after that we can get some real popsicles.
妈妈：好啊，玩完之后我们可以来点真的冰棍。
Child: I was thinking the same thing!
宝宝：我也是这么想的！
