What time is it now？是我们中式思维下得出的翻译，讲英语的时候其实必要说now，因为当你问出这句话时就是在问现在，在没有附加信息的情况下，你不可能问明天几点了?或者昨天几点了？所以加上now在老外看来纯属多此一举。
那什么时候可以加now呢？当你问：
跟你所在地有时差的地方现在时间时会加now
比如，你在国外问北京现在的时间
What time is it in Beijing (right) now?
现在北京什么时间呢？
其它问时间的方式
除了“What time is it?”外，What's the time?也是一种非常常见的问时间的方式，这两种是常规的问法，另外如果你在国外也可能会碰见这么问的方式
①“You got the time, mate?”
你知道几点了么，朋友？
②“Have you got the time on you?”
你身上带着表没有（能知道时间的东西）？
③“Excuse me, can I get the time?”
不好意思，我能告诉我时间吗？
或者如果你和一群人在一起，也可以这么问：
“What time have we got?”

想要问“日期”，用英语怎样表达？
问法一：
What's today?
What day is it ?
答：Today's Tuesday, June 6.

今天是六月六日，星期四。
问法二：
What's the date?
答：It's June 6. or It's the 6th of June.

在提问时，day和date是有区别的
day = Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc.
day是问星期
date = June 6
date是问日期
当别人问你日期的时候，你没有必要给出年份。
例如：
-What's the date?
-It's June 6. (Not It's June 6, 2005)
只有当某人询问未来或过去的时间时，需要加上年份。
-When were you born?
你什么时候出生的？
-March 25, 1965
1965年3月25日
-When is the next election?
下次选举什么时候？
-In November of 2020.
2020年11月。
