Xianfeng Heavy Treasure Dang Shi was cast in Xianfeng years with copper. At that time, in order to distinguish Xianfeng Heavy Treasure, Xianfeng Yuanbao and Xianfeng Tongbao, the coins were valued at 50 yuan. Those above the 50 yuan value were called "Xianfeng Yuanbao". Those below the 50 yuan value were called "Xianfeng Heavy Treasure". The remaining coins were Xiaoping Xianfeng Tongbao. All coins were cast beautifully, and the handwriting engraved on them was clear and beautiful, The copper is of good quality. The coins are simple, generous and exquisite. They are larger in diameter and heavier than those made of copper before. The period when Xianfeng Chongbao Dang Shi was minted was the climax of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's revolutionary movement. In addition to the influence of the Opium War, the Qing government wanted to ease the financial expenditure of the military and fill the gap in the national treasury, but also to quickly suppress the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's movement. It tried to write a lot on the coins to alleviate the financial crisis. Therefore, Xianfeng Chongbao Dang Shi was minted under the circumstances of necessity, Later, they quickly cast Dang 50, Dang 100 and Dang 100, and ordered the whole country to start casting. Many casting bureaus were added to the original casting bureaus, so that Xianfeng Chongbao Dang 10 had a wide variety, different characteristics, most of them were inferior, and many of them were poorly made. Many casting bureaus used iron coins and lead coins instead of copper coins when raw materials were insufficient, In this way, there are relatively few high-quality products of Xianfeng, and many foundries stopped casting when the Opium War and the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Movement broke out together in the later period. This coin is Xianfeng Chongbao Dangshi, a round square mouth coin, made of brass, with regular script "Xianfeng Chongbao" from top to bottom and from right to left on the front; The Chinese character "Dang Shi" is written on the back of Qian, and the name of Qian Qian Bureau is written on the left and right. This set of coins is exquisite and delicate. Although they are as bright as new, they make people feel familiar with the old. Qian's characters are Song typeface characters with deep shapes, compact strokes, sharp strokes and obvious hand carved marks. It is well preserved, the coins are well minted, the coins are thick in bread paste, the coins are very exquisite, the handwriting is correct, smooth, and stretch, and they give off luster in the sunlight, which is of great collection value.
