1.1Patrick didn't agree.帕特里克不同意。这是一个主句 不及物动词的简单句，即 Subject Intransitive Verb。
①subject主语，
②Intransitive Verb=Vi不及物动词。
1.2The two boys made a deal.这两个男孩达成了协议。这是一个主语 及物动词 宾语的简单句，即Subject Transitive Verb Object。
①Transitive Verb=Vt及物动词。
②Object宾语。
1.3Patrick felt awful.帕特里克感到难受极了。这是一个主语 连系动词 表语的简单句，即Subject Link Verb Predicative.
1.3.1Link Verb连系动词，英语中常见的连系动词有：
（1）be动词 (am, is, are, was, were)
（2）感官系动词：feel(感觉，感到）, smell（闻起来）, sound（听起来）, taste（尝起来）, look （看起来）
(3) 变化系动词：become（变成，变得）, grow（长成，长得）, turn（变成）, fall（落下来）, get（变得）, go（变得）, come （来）
(4) 状态系动词： seem（看起来，似乎）, keep（保持）, remain（保持）, stay（保持）, appear（显得，似乎）.
1.3.2连系动词在英语句子中的应用：
在英语句子中，连系动词经常和表语连用，构成：主语 系动词 表语结构。这种结构属于英语5大基本句子结构中的一种。其实连系动词也是判定主系表结构的一个重要标志。例如：
He is a boy.(be动词）
I feel sad. (feel感官动词）
The girl became a teacher finally. (become变化系动词）
On the first day of new term, we remained seated, excited, waiting for our new teacher turning up. （remain状态系动词）
1.3.3Predicative表语。
1.4 I won't lend you my homework.
我不会借给你我的作业。这是一个主语 动词 间接宾语 直接宾语的简单句，Subject Verb Indirect Object Direct Object)
①Verb动词，
②Indirect Object间接宾语，指人，③Direct Object直接宾语，指物。
2What did Grant like to play after class?→Grant liked to play basketball after class.下课之后格兰特喜欢玩什么？→
格兰特喜欢打篮球。
3 Why did the two boys stop talking to each other?→Because Patrick didn't lend his homework to Grant.为什么两个男孩彼此不说活？→
因为帕特里克没有借给格兰特他的作业。
4What made the two boys become friends again?→ A school basketball game.什么让这两个男孩重新变成了朋友？→一场校园篮球赛。
5What agreement did the two boys make?→They would do their own homework first and play basketball later.这两个男孩达成了什么协议？→
他们将先做完家庭作业，然后再去打篮球。
