In recent years, Wuhan's different districts have been striving to promote the level of opening-up through building foreign affair brands with distinct features. To help our readers better understand this, to better tell Wuhan stories to the world, and to welcome the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with practical actions, we are going to launch a series of bilingual reports on "One District, One Brand." 2018年8月，第10000列中欧班列由德国汉堡顺利抵达武汉。

The China-Europe freight train (Yangtze) departs from here and runs across Eurasia, a clear signal of the powerful vitality of the new Silk Road.
中欧班列（长江号）已成为武汉市扩大对外开发的重要窗口、改善营商环境的重要载体和发展外向型经济的重要平台。
The train has become an important window for the expansion of Wuhan's opening-up, a significant carrier of the improved business environment, and a vital platform to serve the development of an export-oriented economy.
2016年4月，首趟武汉至里昂的中欧班列抵达里昂韦尼雪车站。中法两国嘉宾在接车仪式上庆祝该班列抵达里昂。
目前，中欧班列（长江号）已形成了途径新疆阿拉山口、霍尔果斯，内蒙古二连浩特、满洲里，广西凭祥五个口岸进出境的格局，共计拥有29条稳定的跨境运输线路，辐射欧亚大陆30多个国家、70多个城市。
At present, the train crosses borders through five ports — Alashankou and Horgos in Xinjiang, Erenhot and Manzhouli in Inner Mongolia, and Pingxiang in Guangxi. It owns 29 stable cross-border lines connecting more than 70 cities in over 30 Eurasian countries.
2020年7月，武汉-基辅中欧班列顺利抵达。
现已开通了武汉至德国公共班列，武汉至捷克富士康、武汉至波兰冠捷、武汉至法国迪卡侬、俄满汉木材、武汉至波兰烽火科技、武汉至乌克兰等特色专列和“日本-武汉-欧洲”、“日本-武汉-蒙古”集装箱海铁联运国际中转线路，“武汉—钦州—东南亚”铁海联运新通道，初步形成了“联通欧洲、覆盖中亚、衔接日韩、连接东盟”的国际多式联运服务网络。
Currently, the freight train provides public services on routes between Wuhan and Germany, as well as tailored services between Wuhan and Czech for Foxconn, Wuhan and Poland for AOC, Wuhan and France for Decathlon, Wuhan and Poland for Fiberhome, Russia and Wuhan for transporting wood, and Wuhan and Ukraine on particular demand. There are also intermodal sea-rail container lines: the "Japan-Wuhan-Europe" and "Japan-Wuhan-Mongolia" lines, as well as a new sea-rail channel the "Wuhan-Qinzhou Port-Southeast Asia" line. An international multimodal transportation service network has been initially formed to link up with Europe, cover Central Asia, and connect to Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the ASEAN countries.
2021年10月，沃尔沃汽车整车进口专列抵汉。
中欧班列（长江号）在打通国际产业链供应链、助力湖北及周边地区外贸企业复工复产、支持国际防疫合作等方面，发挥了重要作用。
The China-Europe freight train (Yangtze) has played an important role in opening up the international supply chain, helping foreign trade enterprises in Hubei and surrounding areas resume production, and supporting international cooperation in COVID-19 control and prevention.

2012年10月首次开通。
The train started operation in October, 2012.
2014年实现常态化运营。
Since 2014, the train has realized normal operations.
截至2021年底，中欧（武汉）班列累计发运2334列，进出口货值达594亿元，累计发运列数位居全国第五。
By the end of 2021, the train had reached a total number of 2,334 outbound trips, which brings the total of import and export value to as high as RMB 59.4 billion, ranking it fifth in China in terms of total outbound trips.
东西湖区委外办表示，2022年，武汉临空港经济技术开发区（武汉市东西湖区）将继续推进“一区一品”外事工作，持续打造“中欧班列（长江号）”品牌，勇担新使命、奋进新征程，以思想破冰引领发展突围，以干在实处推动走在前列，为加快打造“中国网谷”而努力奋斗。
According to the foreign affairs office of the Wuhan Airport Economic Development Zone (Dongxihu District), in 2022, the district will continue to improve its "One District, One Brand" work and endeavor to create "China's Cyber Valley" in the district through practical actions such as upgrading the brand of the China-Europe freight train (Yangtze)，pursuing new missions, and making breakthroughs in its development.
