提名名单公布
2019年奥利弗奖（Olivier Awards）的提名于3月5日由Sheila Atim和Giles Terera宣布。 二人都曾凭借去年在伦敦舞台上的杰出演绎获得了奥利弗奖。
懂的人都懂，相比同属”美国艺术四大奖“的奥斯卡等等知名奖项， 单论专业性，无疑还是奥利弗奖与我们托尼系出同门。所以自家兄弟这么大的日子，托尼小伙伴可是喜气洋洋的来给大家报道科普！

对业界内讯息熟门熟路的小伙伴们可能都一眼认出来了， 上面提到的公布名单的Giles Terera就是西区卡Hamilton中以Aaron Burr一角，斩获去年（2018年）奥利弗奖最佳音乐剧男主角的奖项的那位。

去年奥利弗奖，Hamilton作为大热门剧组，获得了13个提名，拿下了7个奖项。虽说没有打破《哈利·波特与倒霉孩子（大雾）》摘得9个奖项的记录，命中率也不得不说是相当的高。

今年的提名名单里，接替Hamilton成为今年大热门的， 是"Company" （Marianne Elliott执导）和 "Come From Away"（Christopher Ashley执导）, 分别以9项提名位居 “最佳复排音乐剧” 和 “最佳新音乐剧” 两大类别的榜首。

在这两部音乐剧中, 7位演员获得了个人提名。女演员包括罗莎莉·克雷格（Rosalie Craig）、帕蒂·卢波（Pattie LuPone）—（Company）和蕾切尔·塔克（Rachel Tucker）—（Come From Away）和男演员乔纳森·贝利（Jonathan Bailey）、理查德·弗里施曼（Richard Fleeshman）—（Company） 以及克莱夫·卡特（Clive Carter）和罗伯特·汉兹（Robert Hands）—（Come From Away）。

当性别对调，会迸发怎样的创意？
值得一提的是，此版 “Company”在人物性别上巧妙地做了对换，以女性角色“Bobbie”（Rosalie Craig饰）替换了Sondheim原作中的男性角色“Bobby”, 这一改动不仅没有使原作大失水准， 反而广受好评，是去年伦敦最受欢迎的作品之一。《纽约时报》的戏剧评论家本·布兰特利(Ben Brantley)写道，这版用女性代替音乐剧男主角的 “Company” 复排剧 “具有情感上的连贯性和影响力，这在我之前的观演经历中是前所未有的”。

当平凡的小镇居民被迫卷入事端:
相比复排的 “Company”，“Come From Away” 则是一部地地道道的新剧。这部剧于今年1月在凤凰剧院(Phoenix Theater)开演，讲述的是加拿大一个小镇的居民的故事。2001年9月11日的恐怖袭击发生后，这座小镇曾接纳了6700名乘客，他们乘坐的飞机被迫改道前往那里。尽管这部剧作在西区获得的好评不如2017年在百老汇上映时那般，也还是在榜上遥遥领先。《卫报》的戏剧评论家迈克尔·比灵顿(Michael Billington)对这部剧的评论或许佐证了这一点:“它在音乐上充满活力，演绎得很棒。”并补充说:“我发现，它对公民美德的不懈庆祝有些不妥。”

其他由伦敦戏剧委员会(Society of London Theater) 宣布的代表性奖项提名包括：
吉莉安·安德森(Gillian Anderson)：凭借Ivo van Hove改编的《关于夏娃的一切》(All About Eve)中饰演的角色获得最佳女主角奖。同样获得提名的还有苏菲·奥康多：在国家剧院的《安东尼与克利奥帕特拉》(Antony and Cleopatra)中饰演克利奥帕特拉。
伊恩·麦克莱恩爵士：凭借《李尔王》(King Lear)在约克公爵剧院（the Duke of York’s Theater）获得最佳男演员提名。他的对手是《雷曼三部曲》（The Lehman Trilogy）中的三位主演: 亚当·戈德利(Adam Godley)、本·迈尔斯(Ben Miles)和西蒙·罗素·比尔(Simon Russell Beale)。

此外，最佳导演奖自4月起将首次改名为“彼得·霍尔爵士奖”(Sir Peter Hall Award)，以纪念于2017年去世的皇家莎士比亚剧团 (Royal Shakespeare Company)创始人彼得·霍尔爵士。
