Built in 1908 by the architectural firm Hiss and Weekes, the Belnord spans an entire block. Robert A.M. The Ansonia, another podcast-worthy Upper West Side apartment building, may have also inspired the name of the Arconia. Before it became a luxury condominium like the Belnord, the Ansonia had a storied history.
