Long ago, Coyote met Rabbit in the woods.
很久很久以前，小狼在丛林里遇到了一只兔子。
“I can run as fast as the wind. ”Coyote bragged.
“我跑得比风还快呢，”小狼吹着牛说。
“I am the fastest animal.”
“我是跑得最快的动物。”
“I can run fast, too, ”said Rabbit.
“我也跑得很快。”兔子说。
“Let’s have a race, ”said Coyote.
“那我们比比看啊，”小狼说。
“I am faster than you.So I will win the race.”
“我比你跑得快。所以我肯定会赢的。”
Rabbit wanted to win.
兔子可想赢了。
But he knew Coyote ran faster.
但是他知道小狼比他跑得快。
So Rabbit asked his brothers for help.
于是兔子去找他的兄弟们帮忙。
“Help me trick Coyote,”said Rabbit.
“帮我整整小狼呀，”兔子说。
“Then I can win the race.”
“这样我就能赢啦。”
The race was the next day.
比赛就在第二天。
Rabbit said, “ I will run underground.”
兔子说，“我要从地下跑。”
“That is fine. I run faster than you, ”
“可以呀，反正我比你跑得快，”
bragged Coyote.“So I will win.”
小狼吹着牛。“所以我会赢。”
The race began.
比赛开始了。
Coyote dashed off!
小狼一个箭步就冲了出去！
Rabbit jumped into a hole.
兔子跳进了一个洞里。
Coyote ran faster.
小狼跑得非常快。
Then he stopped to rest.
然后他停下来想休息一会儿。
A rabbit came out of a hole ahead of him.
一只兔子从他前面的一个洞里钻了出来。
It was another one of Rabbit’s brothers.
那是兔子的一个兄弟。
But Coyote didn’t know that.
但是小狼看不出来。
Coyote ran even faster.
小狼跑得更快了。
Then he stopped to rest again.
那是兔子的另一个兄弟。
But Coyote didn’t know that.
但是小狼并没有看出来。
Coyote ran even faster.
小狼跑得更加快了。
Then he stopped to rest again.
然后他又停下来想休息一会儿。
So Coyote ran.
于是小狼又开始跑。
He ran as fast as the wind.
他跑得像风一样快。
Rabbit ran, too.
兔子也跑。
He ran out of the last hole.
他从最后一个地洞钻出来。
Coyote saw Rabbit win the race!
小狼看见兔子赢得了比赛！
Rabbit and his brothers laughed and laughed.
兔子和他的兄弟们笑了又笑。
And Coyote never bragged again!
小狼从此再也不吹牛了！
