10.3order sb. to do sth. 令某人做某事。
The doctor ordered him to stay there.医生嘱咐他留在那里。（不定式短语to stay there作宾语补语）
10.4order sth. for sb./order sb. for sth.为某人订购/点某物。
10.5in order to 与 in order that 如果主句与从句主语相同，通常可以互换。但要注意在in order后接for sb to do sth。
I told him the news instantly in order that he might ease his mind.
=I told him the news instantly in order for him to ease his mind. 我马上告诉他这个消息，以使他安心。
10.6表示“命令”“吩咐”，可用作动词或名词；注意相应的宾语从句、表语从句、同位语从句等用虚拟语气（should v.）。当其后为宾语从句时有时可以换成不定式或过去分词的复合结构。
The boss ordered the work (to be) finished in time.=The boss ordered that the work (should) be finished in time.老板吩咐这工作必须按时完成。

11.1cook动词，烹调,煮,烧”“做饭菜”,泛指通过加热把食物做熟。
①及物动词时可接名词或代词作宾语,也可接双宾语,其间接宾语可转化为介词for的宾语；
He cooked his meals on a gas stove.他在煤气灶上做饭。

谁来做晚餐?
②不及物动词时常以物作主语,主动形式常可表示被动意义。
These apples cook well.
这种苹果适于蒸煮。

③名词，做饭的人,多指以做饭为职业者,即厨师。
The cook has made you a splendid birthday cake.厨师为你做了一个极好的生日蛋糕。

a number of意为“大量的，许多”，number前可用large/great修饰，of后接复数名词，亦可写成large numbers of, 所构成的短语作主语时，谓语动词常用复数形式，因该短语中的名词是中心词。

③in the south part of china中south是形容词，这个短语很少用，因为south多以名词形式出现。south用在in the south of china 中。

16.2in the south of：在南方，两个地方没有接壤的地方，只是单纯的位置方向。to the south of：在南部，两个地方有接壤的地方，表示紧挨着。
16.3south与介词in连用时表示“在所说范围内的南部”，与on连用时表示“在…南面(相连)”，与to连用时表示“在…南面(相隔)”。
