Procrastination拖延症
Procrastination refers to the act of replacing high-priority actions with tasks of low-priority, and thus putting off important tasks to a later time. Some psychologists cite such behavior as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision。
症状：所有大事小事都拖到最后一刻，能不做时绝对不做，可以拖时一定要拖。
病症等级：不治之症
procrastinate＝ pro（向前）＋crast（≈ crastinus）＋ate（表动词）
来自于拉丁语procrastinare，表示“拖延，推迟，耽搁”的意思。拆分一下，pro表示向前；crast来自于crastinus这个单词，意思是“明天”。
向前有很多明天，可以理解为一句俗语：“明日复明日，明日何其多”，加上表示动词的－ate后缀，就引申为“拖延，耽搁”的意思啦～

The Monday Syndrome
星期一综合症
It turns out no matter whether you're American, Chinese or a fat cartoon cat with a penchant for lasagna, you all have at least one thing in common: you probably hate Mondays. In fact, for every Westerner with a "case of the Mondays" it turns out there's a Chinese worker who's suffering from the equally serious case—Monday Syndrome.
症状：赖床，精神恍惚，食欲不振，晚上失眠，早起“起床气”很大，容易发火，工作效率低下。
病症等级：病情可控
又叫做monday morning syndrome简称MMS。虽然现代医学如此发达，可是并没有找到一个可行的方法治愈此病。一小部分人成功开到假条请假，还有一部分人则做的聪明多了，他们决定延长自己的周末，让monday成新的Sunday，目前来看，经此疗法治疗的HHS病人预后良好，MMS发病率下降，值得推广进行进一步临床试验。不过值得注意的是，Tuesday morning syndrome发病率似乎随之提升。

prosopagnosia 脸盲症
Prosopagnosia is a disorder of face perception where the ability to recognize faces is impaired, while the ability to recognize other objects may be relatively intact.
症状：患者看不清别人的脸；患者对别人的脸型失去辨认能力。脸盲症；即便是熟人，也会形同陌路。
病症等级：不治之症
prosopagnosia中文叫做人面失认症。
prosopagnosia由三部分组成，prosop-来自希腊语，表示脸。前面如果加上表示两个的词根di-，就组成了Diprosopus双面畸胎。当婴儿可伴随出现无脑或者神经管闭合不全等先天畸形。
后半部分其实两个词根的组合，a gnosia。a就像在agenesis里面一样，表示无的意思。-gnosia来自希腊语知道的意思。面部 无 知道=认不出这张脸是谁=人面失认症！agnosia单独本身就是失认症。衍生出的agnostic不是失认症的形容词，而是哲学里“不可知论的”意思。Evan Esar说过一句精辟的点评，An agnostic is someone who says he knows nothing about God,and when you agree with him,he becomes angry.-gnosia表示“知道”你一定不会陌生。因为作为一个医生，我们都要最后给病人一个诊断diagnosis。这里的dia-表示“通过”的意思（比如diarrhea)，医生“通过”一系列问诊查体，最后“知道”病人得了什么病，不就是诊断diagnosis吗？
如果我们再把dia换成表示“前面”的pro的话，就组成了预后prognosis。我们还没有做什么检查，就在病人发生症状“之前”“知道”了，正是预后的定义。

Trypophobia 密集恐惧症
Trypophobia is an intense fear of the following things, which results in an all-over itchy feeling and general uneasyness. Lotus seed pods, Crumpets, Pumice, Cavities in teeth, the Ampullae of Lorenzini in Sharks, Holes in concrete, Bug tunnels in wood, Enlarged pores of the skin, Aero Bars, Holes in walls caused by bullets, Bone marrow, Wasps' nest, Honeycomb, Bubbles in Dough, Ant holes, Veins in meat, Clusters of holes。
症状：对密集排列的相对小物体很敏感，感觉头晕，恶心，头皮发麻。几乎人人都有，程度因人而异。
病症等级：病情可控，可能传染
密集恐惧症由trypo-和phobia组成。trypo-来自希腊语trypo,表示“针刺，穿孔”。phobia^自希腊语phobos,表示恐惧。密集恐惧症的患者看到密密麻麻的针孔就会发狂。
Phobos一词表示恐惧，其对应的抽象名词为phobia，即“畏惧心理”，医学术语中常见。与-phobia表示相反意义的词缀为-philia，源于希腊语中的philos，表示喜欢的（你肯定认识这个单词philosophy）。掌握了这两个词根，你的词汇量就能像做了火箭一样，蹭蹭飞涨。
脑膜炎的症状：phonophobia (恐声症)，photophobia (恐光症)
狂犬病人会有hydrophobia (恐水症)
恐高称为acrophobia
无法做MRI的幽闭恐惧症：Claustrophobia
密集恐惧症：Trypophobia

Let’s take a moment to talk about fear. When fears are exaggerated or unnatural, they are known as phobias.
Phobia comes from the Greek phobos, fear, dread, horror, flight. As a combining form it can be joined with other elements to form a word meaning the fear, dread, or extreme dislike of something. The antonym of the combining form -phobia is -philia, from the Greek philein, to love. Bibliophilia （爱书者） is love of books; bibliophobia is fear or hatred of them. For whatever you fear, there is, or can be, a phobia. Common phobias include claustrophobia（幽闭恐惧症）, fear of enclosed space, and agoraphobia (广场恐惧症), fear of open spaces, public places, or crowds. (Agoraphobia combines -phobia, fear, with agora, a marketplace or public square in ancient Greece.) You will recall that those fearful of strangers or foreigners, or of anything foreign or strange, suffer from xenophobia (恐惧外国人). Premenstrual Syndrome
经前综合征
Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) (also called PMT or premenstrual tension) is a collection of physical and emotional symptoms related to a woman's menstrual cycle.
症状：下腹部疼痛，常伴随有恶心、呕吐、腹泻等，严重的可出现面色苍白、手脚冰冷、冷汗淋漓等症状。
病症等级：病情可控，受个人情绪影响较大，可能会传染
经前综合征premenstrual syndrome和女人的月经周期有卷密切的联系，统计资料表明85%的女性都报告说曾经阼验过PMS，症状为腹胀，乳房胀痛等。不过据每月幸存的目击者称，PMS似乎对周围人的影响更大。
premenstral有代表“前”的pre-加上代表月经的menstrual。女人最亲密的亲人大姨妈就是menstruation，最终都是来自希腊语里月亮的意思。因为其显者的周期性，大家座会管它叫periord。men-加上表示流动的-rrhea，就组成了真正的主角，月经menorrhea。

Choose disabilities 选择障碍症
Just can not make decisions of any kind。
症状：生活中的大小选择举棋不定犹豫不决。尤其在选择午饭吃什么这一严肃问题上表现尤为严重。
病症等级：终生晚期……
有时候我们面临太多的选择，这个也好，那个也不错，挑了半天就是不能下定决心。这其实都暗示看一个深层次的间题，那就是，穷！（伤心了）有钱还选个P,直接全都买回来好了！
不过有一个心理疾病倒是和选择障碍有点类似，那就是选择恐惧症tropophobia。tropo-来自希腊语tropos，表示a turning转变。患有这种疾病的人恐惧做任何选择或者改变。
Tropo-还在很多单词里出现过。比如著名的ACTH全名就是adrenocorticotropic hormone,顾名思义，ACTH—旦择放了，肾上腺不就改变当前的分泌状态了吗？初中的生物学的向光性就叫phototropism。

Holiday syndrome 假期综合症
Holiday syndrome appears when people who just come back tio work from a break.It's caused by longtime TV wactching or internet surfing. It make one's back and waist sore。
症状：在长假过后，身心疲惫，心情烦躁，精力不集中，睡不好，吃不香，没有上课或上班的激情，但身体没有器质性病变。
病症等级：病情可控，为周一综合症的并发症
