【讲解】
1.would..ke...
would like意为“想，想要”，与want意义相同，但语气更委婉。
would like可与任何人称连用，没有人称和数的变化，肯定句中would常在主语后面缩写为 ’d。
基本用法：
(1) would like sth. “想要某物”。
如：
— Would you like a cup of tea?
— Yes, please. / No, thanks.
(2) would like to do sth. “想要做某事”。
如： — Would you like to go shopping with me?
— Yes, I’d like to. / I’d like to, but I have to do my homework.
3. would like sb to do sth “想要某人做某事”。
如： Jim would like his friend to help him with his English.

【讲解】
这是两个与name有关的固定搭配。
1. by name
是个中性词组，意为“名叫什么”，它放在专有名词之后，以表示你所要说明的人或物的确实名称。
There was a great poet in China, Qu Yuan by name.
中国有个伟大的诗人，名叫屈原。
（也可说成 by the name of）
Someone by the name of Mary wants to see you.
有个叫玛丽的要见您。
2. in name
是贬义词，表示“名义上”、“徒有虚名”之意。
He is a doctor in name only; he stays in the stock exchange all day long.
他只是名义上是个医生；他整天在股票交易所里。
