有些副词加ly 之后构成另外意义的副词
1.deep （深深地，在深处）→ deeply （深切地；深刻地，强烈地）
Sink deep 沉得深 dig deep 深挖 study deep into the subject 深入学习
The oil-pipe lines were buried deep. 输油管道埋得很深。
= The oil-pipe lines were deeply buried . （在被动结构中，deeply 位于分词之前，deep 用于分词后。）
I am deeply grateful to you . 我非常感激你。 （修饰形容词只用deeply）
We were all deeply disturbed when we heard the news. 我们听到这个消息都深感不安。
2.wide （宽广地） → widely （广泛地）
Open your mouth wide . 把口长大。
The door was wide open . 门敞开着。
He was standing with his feet wide apart. 他站在那里，两脚分开的距离很大。
He has travelled widely .他曾在广泛的地区旅行。
The most widely distributed is the Hui people. 分布最广的是回族。
Gas is now widely used for cooking and heating . 现在普遍用煤气烧饭和取暖。
The conversation ranged widely. 谈话的内容十分广泛。
Prices vary widely from shop to shop. 各家商店的价格悬殊很大。
Society is made up of people of widely differing abilities. 社会是由能力迥异的人组成。

3.late ( 迟、晚） → lately （最近）
Better late than never. 迟做总比不做好。
I was shut out for being five minutes late. 我迟到了五分钟便被关在外面了。
Where have you been lately ? 最近你去了哪？
Orders have been falling off lately ---we must advertise more. 近来订单减少，我们必须加大广告力度。
4.close （接近地；紧紧地） → closely （密切地；仔细地）
He was standing close to the door. 他靠近门口站着。
An airliner came close to disaster while approaching Heathrow Airport.
一架大型客机在靠近希思罗机场时差一点发生空难。
He got closely in touch with the magazines of today, 他与当代杂志有密切的联系。
The little baby was closely looked after by her. 小孩在她的细心照料之下。
Each student’s progress is closely monitored. 每位同学的学习情况都受到密切的关注。
5.Free （免费地；松动地） → freely （自由地；无限制地；慷慨地；）
Children are admitted free. 儿童免费入场。
The books are given away free. 这些书都是免费赠送的。
You may speak freely;say what you like. 你可以自由讲话，想说什么就说什么。
I freely admit that I made a mistake. 我心甘情愿地承认我弄错了。
6.Loud 大声地 （强调状态和给人的感觉） → loudly 喧闹地 （侧重于方式，有吵闹的
意思）
He talked loud so that everyone could hear him. 他大声说话，以便大家都能听到。
(loud 常与talk/speak/sing/laugh 等连用）
She went straight uip to the door and knocked loudly. 她径自走到门前大声敲门。
Some of the victims are complaining loudly about the uneven distribution of emergency aid.
其中一下灾民大声地抱怨紧急援助物资分配不公。
（loudly 常与explode/knock/demand/explain等连用）
7.Hard (努力地；猛烈地；困难地；刻苦地） → hardly (几乎不）
We must work hard for our country. 为了我们的国家我们必须努力学习。
It's raining hard .雨正下得很大。
Don’t try so hard ,the best things come when you least expect them to.
不用太过费煞苦心，好事总在不经意之间到来。
I could hardly write at that time. 那时候我几乎不能写字。
I can hardly believe that I work so hard . 我几乎不能相信我是那么刻苦。
8.High (在/向高处） → highly （高级地；高度地）
He jumps high. 他跳得高。
The kite is flying high in the sky. 风筝飞得很高。
The grass in the yard was waist high. 院子里的草有齐腰高。
Be highly precise and specific. 目标要高度地详细准确。
My teacher spoke highly of what I did. 老师高度评价了我的行为。
9.Most (最多；大部分） → mostly （=mainly 主要地）
The person who talks most is often the one who does least. 说得最多的人常常干得最少。
This is a most useful book. 这是一本很有用的书。
The audience consisted mostly of women. 观众大部分是女的。
The students in our class are mostly from the factory. 我们班上的同学大多是这个厂的。
His stories were mostly about his travels in foreign countries. 他的故事大多是关于他在外国的旅行。
10.Near （在附近；时空上接近地） →nearly （几乎；差不多）
National Day is coming near. 国庆节越来越近了。
His workplace is not near. 他上班的地方可不近。
It’s nearly two o’clock. 差不多两点钟了。
Nearly everyone knows it . 几乎每个人都知道这事。
11.direct （=straight 直接地） → directly （=immediately马上）
The next flight does not go direct to Tokyo ;it goes byway of Shanghai.
下一趟航班不直飞东京，而是绕道上海。
He will be here directly. 他马上就来。
12.short （ 突然；唐突地；简短地） → shortly （立刻；马上，简单地）
The rider pulled his horse up short. 骑手突然一下把马 勒住。
Make a right turn shortly beyond the village. 村前不远处右拐。
13.Just ( 刚刚；正好） →justly （公正地；正当地）
The train has just arrived. 火车刚刚到达。
He had just gone to bed when the phone rang. 电话响的时候他刚睡下。
The money is just enough. 钱刚好够用。
That’s just what he said . 那正是他说的。
He ‘s just in need of help. 他正需要帮助。
He was justly punished for his crimes. 他犯了罪，受到了应有的惩罚。
We are justly proud of it . 我们有正当理由为之骄傲。
14.clear （无阻碍地；无辜） → clearly （清楚地；清晰地）
Please stand clear of the gate. 不要站在门前。
He stated his view point clearly. 他清晰地说明了他的观点。
15.pretty （ =quite相当；十分） → prettily (=beautifully 漂亮地）
The exam was pretty difficult. 这次考试相当难。
Her little girls are always prettily dressed. 她的女儿们总是穿得很漂亮。
16.low （在低处） → lowly （低贱的 ；卑微）
A plane flying low over the city 城市上方低空飞行的飞机
The break-up of her marriage marked an all-time low in her life.
她的婚姻破裂标志着她进入了一生中空前困难的时期。
He was irked by his lowly status . 他为自己地位卑微而恼恨。
17.
slow （常用在go/run 等动词后） → slowly （可用于各种情况，动词前后）
My watch runs slow . 我的手表慢了。
How slow this train goes. 火车跑到真慢！
Tell the driver to go slower. 告诉司机开慢点。
习语 go slow (怠工） 不用slowly
Walk /speak/read/learn/react slowly
He slowly opened the door. 他慢慢打开了门。
He did everything slowly . 他做事很慢。
Would you please say that again more slowly ? 请你慢点再说一次好吗？
