英国当地时间4月20日下午，网坛四大满贯之一的温布尔登网球公开赛官网发布公告称，拒绝俄罗斯和白俄罗斯球员参加2022年的温网赛事。

据北京青年报报道，根据温网禁赛条款，现世界排名处在男女前100位的俄罗斯和白俄罗斯球员包括5名男选手和12名女选手。禁赛名单如下：
男子：梅德韦杰夫、卢布列夫、卡恰诺夫、卡拉采夫、伊瓦什卡女子：帕芙柳琴科娃、卡萨金娜、库德梅托娃、萨姆索诺娃、亚历山德洛娃、格拉乔娃、卡琳斯卡娅、拉希莫娃、萨巴伦卡、阿扎伦卡、萨斯诺维奇、兹沃娜列娃
在周三的一份声明中，温网赛事组织者全英草地网球俱乐部表示，在政府、工业、体育和创意机构“通过尽可能最强烈的方式限制俄罗斯全球影响力”之时，它应该发挥自己的作用。In a statement on Wednesday, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) said it had to play its part in the efforts of government, industry, sporting and creative institutions to "limit Russia's global influence through the strongest means possible."
温网禁令遭到多方谴责
此前职业网球联合会（ATP）和国际女子网球协会（WTA）禁止俄罗斯和白俄罗斯选手参加国际团体比赛，个人球员可以参加巡回赛，但不能以国家名义参赛。
对于彻底禁止俄罗斯及白俄罗斯球员参加温网比赛的禁令，ATP官方表示反对，称温网将两国球员排除在外的“单方面决定”是“不公平的”，并可能为这项比赛开创一个破坏性的先例。The ATP, which governs men's tennis, said the "unilateral decision" by Wimbledon to exclude players from Russia and Belarus was "unfair" and could potentially set a damaging precedent for the game.
ATP表示：“基于国籍的歧视也违反了我们与温布尔登的协议，该协议规定球员参赛完全基于ATP排名。”"Discrimination based on nationality also constitutes a violation of our agreement with Wimbledon that states that player entry is based solely on ATP Rankings," the men's governing body said.
与此同时，WTA也发表声明公开反对温网的决定，表示对此“非常失望”，现在正在“评估其下一步行动以及针对这些决定可能采取的措施”。
WTA表示：“个人运动员不应该因为他们来自哪里，或者他们国家政府的决定而受到处罚或被禁止参加比赛。”"Individual athletes should not be penalised or prevented from competing due to where they are from, or the decisions made by the governments of their countries," said the WTA.
塞尔维亚网球名将德约科维奇的前教练尼古拉·皮利奇此前接受塞尔维亚《信使报》采访时，强烈批评俄罗斯和白俄罗斯运动员遭禁赛一事，指责美国等西方国家十分虚伪，并反问“伊拉克战争爆发时美国运动员是否也受制裁。”
这简直是一种耻辱。当美国人进入伊拉克并杀死一百多万平民时，他们是否也做了类似的事情？他们是否禁止美国网球运动员参加比赛？他们在任何意义上都在夸大其词。
"It's just a shame," said Pili to Kurir. "Did they do something similar when the Americans entered Iraq and killed over a million civilians there? Did they ban their tennis players from playing? They are exaggerating in any sense."
克里姆林宫发言人佩斯科夫（Dmitry Peskov）对此回应称，以俄罗斯在乌克兰的军事行动为由禁止俄罗斯网球运动员参加温网是“不可接受的”。让体育界人士成为政治阴谋的人质，这是不可接受的。"To make sports people hostages of political intrigue is unacceptable."
鉴于俄罗斯是一个（实力）非常强的网球大国，比赛本身会因这项决定而受到影响。"Given that Russia is a strong tennis country the competitions (which take this decision) will suffer from this," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on a conference call.
