need 在初中英语学习中，主要掌握其“一句型，两短语，三词性，一谚语”
一、need 作情态动词，表示“需要”，
多用其否定形式 needn't，表示“没必要”，相当于“don't have to"
You need bring you coat.
你得（需要）把外套带上。
What you need do is waiting.
你需要做的就是等待。
It's Sunday and he needn't get up so early.
今天周日，他没必要这么早起来。
You needn't spend much time on this.

need 引导的一般疑问句的通常回答：
肯定：Yes, ... must. （必须）
否定：No, ...needn't/don't have to. （不必）
也可根据实际语境合理回答！

我有必要现在完成吗？
Yes, you must. 是的，必须现在。
No, you needn't. 不，没必要现在。
二、need 作实义动词，表示“需要”, 构成疑问或否定借助助动词“do”
在need作实义动词时，需要掌握其“两短语”
1、need sth. 需要...
Do you need my help？
需要帮忙吗？
He needs nothing but money.
除了钱，他什么都不需要。
2、need to do sth. 需要做...
I need to reach the airport before 7:30.
我需要在7：30之前到达机场。
You don't need to change.
你没必要做出改变。
3、sth. need doing ...需要（被）...
相当于其被动语态：
“sth. need to be done"
这种用法为主动表被动的用法，主语多用于物、事；
The room needs cleaning.
The room needs to be cleaned.
房间需要（被）打扫了。
The clothes need washing.
The clothes need to be washed.
衣服需要（被）洗了。
以上关于need to do 与 need doing 是重点考核；
三、need 作名词，表示"需要，必要"
句型：（某人）没必要做...
There is no (for sb.) need to do sth.
There is no need to take a taxi.
没必要打车。
There is no need for her to spend so much money shopping.
她没必要花这么多钱购物。
