岫岩玉，辽宁省鞍山市岫岩满族自治县特产，中国国家地理标志产品。
岫岩玉为中国历史上的四大名玉之一（其三为陕西蓝田玉、新疆和田玉和河南独山玉），因产于辽宁岫岩而得名，最早的玉名见自西汉《尔雅》：“东方之美者，有医无闾之殉圩琪焉”。
岫岩玉广义上可以两类，一类是老玉，老玉中的籽料称作河磨玉，属于透闪石玉，其质地朴实、凝重、色泽淡黄偏白，是一种珍贵的璞玉；另一类是岫岩碧玉，其质地坚实而温润，细腻而圆融，多呈绿色至湖水绿，其中以深绿、通透少瑕为珍品。
2005年12月31日，原国家质检总局批准对“岫岩玉”实施地理标志产品保护。

这一对烛台并非使用器，可见烛台为镂空雕刻，并无法使用，而是作为一对观赏器，这一对烛台形似华盖，给人一种隆重，庄严之感，这一对烛台表面有明显的玻璃光泽，玻璃光泽：是玉石的一个属性。由于隐晶质或细微的颗粒所造成，光泽呈亮蜡状已达到玻璃光泽。是老玉的明显特征。
看颜色：岫岩玉不同于其他玉类，它色彩丰富，种类齐全，有红、绿、黄、白、黑等等，且深浅不一，富有变化。不要太浓，亦不能过淡，最好颜色浓度适中，鲜艳亮丽，且分布均匀。当然，也会存在一些杂质，使得颜色不纯正，这就叫偏色。
看透明度：透明度。玉石中，不透明的有很多，透明度中半透明的就显得比较珍贵，而全透明的岫岩玉品质最好。
看质地：岫岩玉玉质相对来说细腻一些，也会有些岫岩玉质地较粗糙。品质优良的岫岩玉，自然是那些晶体颗粒细腻、结构紧密，少杂质、瑕疵、裂纹。可以通过放大镜或是显微镜观察。
看净度：这一点单看岫岩玉内部的杂质、瑕疵或是裂纹，虽然这些是岫岩玉天然特征，却也影响着岫岩玉的品质，更影响着透明度。因此，杂质、瑕疵越少，岫岩玉品质越好。
玻璃光泽：老玉看玻璃光泽，新玉看蜡状光泽，由于古代所有工艺都是纯手工制作，玉器是用铁制圆盘-铊、无齿的锯、圆锯、钻、锥、用精细的木片葫芦皮、牛皮蘸珍珠砂浆，加以抛光。玉石异常坚硬，必须用铁制圆盘―铊为工具，以水和金刚砂为介质，经过铡、錾、冲、压、勾、顺等工艺，一点一滴琢磨而成，一件器物往往要耗时数月方能成形，玉器成形时由于都是极其细微的研磨而成，成品时已经带有包浆，且表面极其光滑形成了玻璃光泽，而新玉还会存在毛孔，这是鉴定新老玉最根本的区别。
