英语方位单词用法（英语用法轻松学II）

(1)noth 指面向太阳升起的方向时，你左手边的方向，即北方。

• Our route went from north to soul. 我们的路线是自北向南。

(2) south 指面向太阳升起的方向时，你右手边的方向，即南方。

• We have good relations with our neighbors in the south.
• 我们和住在我们南边的邻居关系很好。

(3) east 指太阳升起的方向，即东方。

• There are huge mountains to the east.东边是座大山。

(4)west 指太阳落下的方向，即西方。

• They come from the west of Ireland.他们来自爱尔兰西部。

在 north, south, east 和 west 前加 the 表示国家或地区的一部分。

（3）通常在 peat, area, region, town, city 等词前也不使用 north, south, eat 和 west。

• 例如，不说 There is a lot of industry in the northern-cities.

（4）谈及风向时，将这些方位词放在 wind 前即可。
