1.How was your first day of Grade 8?你八年级的第一天过得怎么样？

1.1Grade 8八年级，首字要大写。
2.I was happy to see my classmates after such a long holiday.在漫长的假期之后见到我的同学们我很高兴。
2.1 Sb. be happy to do sth.高兴干某事。=It's happy for sb to do .
注：如果形容词是表示人的品格的话，比如nice 、clever、smart、silly、kind等就要用of代替for。
2.2after such a long holiday.介词短语用作状语。
2.3.such与so都有“这样的，如此的”意思，但词性和用法有很大区别：
2.3.1such 作形容词,修饰名词,常用结构:
①such a/an 形容词 可数名词单数
such a clever boy 如此聪明的一个男孩。
② such 形容词 可数名词复数/不可数名词。
such clever boys 如此聪明的男孩们。
such good news 多么好的消息。
2.3.2so的用法
①so作副词,主要修饰形容词或副词。
His speech was so exciting.
他的演讲是如此令人兴奋。
② so 后接可数名词单数,其结构为
“so 形容词 a/an 可数名词单数”,
与“such a/an 形容词 可数名词单
数”同义。so interesting a film = such an interesting film 如此有趣的一部电影。
2.4such a long holidy=so long a holiday如此长的暑假。
3.I have two new classmates this term. One is Sandra and the other is Mary.这学期我有两个新同学。一个是桑德拉，另一个是玛丽。
3.1.one...and the other...一个……，另一个……
4.We also have a new English teacher. Her name is Ms. Cox.我们也有了一位新的英语老师。她的名字叫考克斯。
5.That's exciting!那真令人兴奋！
6.You always like to make new friends.你总是喜欢结交新朋友。
6.1make friends交朋友
6.2like to do sth.喜欢干某事。

8.2introduce及物动词，介绍。

introduce oneself to sb.向某人作自我介绍。
8.3ask sb. sth.问某人某事。

9.1what about
①用于引出与之前内容相关的新的话题或观点，“那么……怎么样”;
②用于请某人解释原因，“……怎么了”;
③用于问句句首，表示提出建议或请求，“……怎么样”
④what about 名词/代词/动名词。
10.It's almost the same as Grade 7.
和七年级几乎一样。
10.1the same as与……相同/一样。反义短语：different from与……不同
11.We have a new subject this term - physics. 我们这学期有一个新的科目——物理。
12.It looks interesting.看起来似乎很有趣。
12.1连系动词 形容词→系表结构。
①look看起来，显得。
②fell摸起来。
③sound听起来
④taste有……的味道。
⑤smell闻起来。
13.Tomorrow we will make a class picture.明天我们将要制作班级照片墙，
13.1make a picture制作一张照片。
14.but I don't have any good recent pictures of myself.但是我没有好的近照。
14.1该句变成肯定句时，要将any变成some。
14.2recent形容词，最近的;近来的;新近的。
15.You have a lot of good pictures, Li Ming.你有很多好的照片啊，李明。
15.1a lot of=many/much许多。
16.We took many on the Silk Road.
我们在丝绸之路上拍了很多照片。
16.1take pictures拍照。
17. I like the one of you on the camel.
我喜欢那张你在骆驼上面的照片。

17.1look for与find都有“找”的意思，但含义不同。find 强调“找”的结果，而look for 强调“找”的过程.。I’m looking for my watch，but can’t find it.我正在找我的手表，但是没能找到。另外look for还有“寻求、期待”的意思。
