Survive as Camels

Camels certainly like eating green grass, not dry grass. But strangely camels always keep looking for dry grass until stomachs are filled up.

A classmate of mine whose home is on the edge of Turpan Basin in Xinjiang told me his home has two camels; he said you couldn’t imagine a camel’s appetite, for it can slowly swallow dozens of kilograms of hay.

I asked the classmate why camels eat hay, not grass. He said the camel is a kind of animal with a very strong sense of suffering, fearing its master letting it travel through the desert the next day, and the hay in its stomach is more hunger-resistant than green grass.

The camel has the best endurance whereas the people can only see a camel’s outstanding performance, but few understand its preparation for this.

My classmate said the camel has the human conscience while an old camel will be aware of its master’s mind. Before the journey, it will swallow the hay all the night and drink enough water, and then wait for the first light of morning.

Life, like a camel traveling through the desert, needs the adequate accumulation, but not everyone can understand it.
