基本定义：to use the eyes ; to use vision 看.注视
与see的差别是：
see : 用眼睛感觉.感知，接收某些东西，透过眼睛获得讯息。
look : 聚焦.将目光集中在某事上，引导你注意某些事情。
to appear in accordance with
根据某人或某情况获得一些资讯
ex. She’s had a rough year.
她度过了艰难的一年。
Yeah, she looks it.
是啊，看起来是。
ex. He’s 60? He doesn’t look it !
他60岁了?他看起来不像!
to seem 看起来.似乎
可用seem的字代替，但 seem 的用法比 look 正式一点
ex. This looks pretty tough.
这看起来非常艰难。
=This seems pretty tough.
ex. This is looking like it’s going to be easier than I thought.
这看起来比我想像中的要容易。
= This is seeming like it’s going to be easier than I thought.
to have in mind as a goal
当作目标记在心裡，有计划去做…
looking 在这表示有一段努力达成目标的过程
ex. We’re looking to buy a new car by the end of the month.
月底前我们打算买一辆新车。
ex. He’s looking to complete his job transfer by next month.
他计划在下个月完成他的工作转移。
to express with eyes or face
用眼睛或脸来表达
ex. She looked surprised.
她看起来很惊讶。
ex. They look pretty angry.
他们看起来很生气。
look into 调查.研究
ex. We need to look into these accusations.
我们需要调查这些指控.罪状。
= We need to investigate these accusations. (比较正式的说法)
ex. Have you looked into the requirements for your license?

look the other way 假装没看见(睁一只眼闭一只眼)
ex. You can’t just look the other way while your boss mistreats the employees in your company!
当你老板虐待你公司的员工时，你不能只是假装没看到。
ex. We shouldn’t look the other way when our fellow humans are in trouble.
当我们人类同胞遇到麻烦时，我们不应该睁一只眼闭一只眼。
