那么它用英语如何表达呢？

译：他贪得无厌，得寸进尺。你永远也无法满足他。
inch 英[ɪntʃ] 美[ɪntʃ] mile 英[maɪl] 美[maɪl]
inch作为长度单位，表示英寸；
mile也是长度单位，表示英里。
give him an inch and he'll take a mile. 给他一英寸，他还要一英里。
很直白的形容贪得无厌，得寸进尺的意思。
类似的，也可以用到the more…，the more…结构来表达。
因此上例可以改写为：
e.g. The more he gets, the more he wants.
