The league has been so dumb about this. Given the time it was made, who else would it be. If they made a logo in other years it would be Magic or Larry, MJ, or Lebron. Given Jerry's success in pretty much anything basketball related, it's fitting.

My impression is that, after he said that promoting/representing the league is always important to him (i.e., meaning he at least sort of understands why the NBA might not want to admit it's the image of any particular player), he was specifically asked by the reporter what he thinks about the possibility of getting royalties, hence the answer. He just seemed to have answered honestly, without necessarily being bitter about not getting any.

I never noticed how the logo is kinda awkward, i feel like he's bending in a kinda funny way there. You noticed that kind of movement with West or Cousy but don't see it as much anymore.
