（1）agreement n. ...之间的“协定”、“协议”或“协定书”。例如：
a collective agreement 集体协议
a commercial agreement 贸易协定
a socialist emulation agreement 社会主义竞赛协议
to come to an agreement 达成协议
（2）contract n. 具体的、事物性的“合同”。如在签定贸易协定后，关于交货数量、交货日期、运输情况等等所订的合同。例如：
a contract for （the）supply of goods 交货合同
（3）pact n. 国家间签定的政治性“条约”或“公约”。例如：
a mutual assistance pact 互助条约
a nonaggression pact 互不侵犯条约
（4）treaty n. 国家间的政治性“盟约”或“条约”。例如：

20、alive，living，live与lively的用法辨析
（1）alive adj. “活着的”，“精神抖擞的”。这个词不能在名词和代词的前面，只能用作表语。例如：
His parents are still alive .他的父母依然健在。
（2）living adj. “活着的”，“有生命的”，“现存的”。这个词用作定语和表语均可。例如：
a living language 活的语言
He is still living .他还活着。
Living men can err .活人都会有错误。
（3）live adj. “活的”，“没有死的”。这个词只作定语用，往往用来形容动词。例如：
live animals 活的动物 live fish 活鱼
a live wire 活线

（2）allow（v.t.）of “容许”，“有……余地”。例如：
This rule allows of different explanations .这条规则容许有不同的解释。

（3）allow （v.t.）for “注意到”，“考虑到”。例如：
You must allow for his health .你必须考虑到他的健康问题。
The nurses allowed for those patients who were trying to walk .
