Partridges in the Sky
By ZHAN Antai
Tr. ZHAO Yanchun
Flowers fill the garden and green fills the pond;
Stay wild geese in winds pass the river town.
Painted halls big or small are where friends meet;
From the next court the string tunes play me down.
Her fragrant sleeves cold,The dusk smoke-curls chill.
A spice wood pillar does face a stretch of gray.
When the bright moon rises just o’er the tower,
From the world’s setting sun I turn away.
