绘本赏析
汤姆的生日到了，爷爷送给汤姆一个礼物。
It was Tom’s birthday. Grandpa gave his a present.
汤姆：“我就想要这个！小兵人！”
Tom:“Just what I wanted. Tin soldier.”
爷爷：“哎呀！这个小兵怎么只有一条腿？”
Grandpa:” Oh dear! This soldier only has one leg.”
汤姆：“没关系哒！全体集合！动作快！前进！！”
Tom:” It doesn’t matter. Attention!! Quick, march!”
汤姆玩了一整天小兵人。该睡觉了，他把小兵人放回盒子里，但是一条腿的那个小兵不见了。
Tom spent all day playing. At bedtime, he packed the soldiers back in their box. But the one-legged soldier was missing.
汤姆：“他跑到哪去了?”
Tom:” Where’s he gone?”
爷爷：”别急，明天早上再找吧。”
Grandpa:”Don’t worry. you can look for him tomorrow.”
汤姆睡了，其它的玩具都出来玩了。
Tom’s other toys waited until he was asleep. Now it was their turn to play.
玩具：“安全啦！”
toys:” All clear!”
玩具：“耶耶！！哈哈~~”
toys :” Whoopee~ Haha! Yippee!”
小兵人们也想加入，可是他们被锁在盒子里出不来了。
The soldiers tried to join in. But they were stuck in their box…
只有一只腿的小兵在外面。他掉到一堆积木后面了。
except for the one-legged soldier. He had fallen behind a pile of toy building blocks.
但他不想一起玩。他盯着墙角的一个童话宫殿玩具看。
But he didn’t join in the games. He was gazing at the fairytale palace in the corner.
以前，这个汤姆姐姐的玩具。宫殿的走廊上站着一个纸做的芭蕾娃娃。
It once belonged to Tom’s sister. A paper ballerina doll stood in the doorway.
漂亮的芭蕾娃娃一只腿跳着舞。
The pretty ballerina was dancing on one leg.
小兵：“她简直是我最完美的妻子啦！”
soldier:” She’d be a perfect wife for me.
突然，粗鲁的弹簧人跳了出来。
Suddenly, the grumpy jack-in-the-box sprang up.
Jack：“别盯着看了！”
Jack:”Keep you eyes o yourself!”
小兵没理他。他对芭蕾娃娃微笑，娃娃也对他笑起来。。
The soldier ignored him. He smiled to the ballerina, and she smiled back.
小丑嫉妒得脸都憋红了
The jealous jack-in-the-box turned bright red.
Jack：”等着瞧吧！”
Jack:” Just wait!”
第二天一早，汤姆发现了一只腿的小兵。
The next morning, Tom found the missing soldier.
汤姆：“啊，你在这里。我把你放在窗台上看风景吧。’
Tom :” ah ha~here you are. Let me put you by the window. Enjoy the view~”
凶恶的弹簧人瞅准了机会。
The cruel jack-in-the box saw his chance.
jack：”哈哈！再见了小兵人！“
Jack:” ha ha! So long, soldier boy. ”
它深吸一口气，对着小兵猛地吹了一口气。
He took a deep breath and blew as hard as he could.
jack：”呼！！！“
Jack:” hooooooh!”
小兵从窗子上摔了下去。
The tin soldier fell out of the window…
小兵：”哇哇哇！天啊！啊！我的脚。。卡住了！“
Soldier:”Woooah! oh dear, my foot..it’s stuck…”
小兵人掉到了下面的街道上
He landed on the street below the window.
两个小男孩跑了过来：”看啊，一个小兵人。咱们把它变成水手吧。“
Two boys ran up:”Look! A tin soldier.” “Let’s turn him into a sailor.”
他们用报纸做了个小船，把小兵人放了上去。
They made a little boat out of an old newspaper and stood the tin soldier in the boat.
然后，就把小船扔进了排水沟。
Then they dropped it in the gutter。
