生活中最常用的英语口语，却很容易犯这些小错误。我们不得不去防范一下，你可以收藏起来，学习一下！
1.你能帮我把这个扔了吗？
Can you help me throw it? (X)
throw这个词本身是表示“扔”这个动作，而不是扔掉的意思。比如：
Can you throw me that book?
你能把那本书扔给我吗？
如果表示扔掉，我们可以说：...throw Something away.比如：
I threw my old iPhone away because getting an iPhone X.
我把旧手机扔了，因为我要买一个 iPhone X.
除了throwaway，我们还可以用dump something或者get rid of
Something来表示“扔掉” 。所以表达“你能帮我把这个扔了
吗？”我们可以这样说:
Can you dump this for me?
Can you throw this away for me?
Can you get rid of it for me?
2.等一下，我得系下鞋带。
Hold up, I gotta tie my shoes up. (X)
这个句子当中有两个地方容易出现错误，“等一下”我们常用的表达有：
hold on a second
one second
hang on a second
“hold up”的意思是“举起；支撑；耽搁”。而“系鞋带”可以用“tie my shoes" 或 “tie my shoes laces" 。 口语中一般用tie my shoes就可以了。那么tie up是什么意思呢？
Tie something up表示把某物掴紧，比如:
Tie up the books so we can sell them altogether.
把这些书捆起来，我们可以把他一起卖。
所以，正确表达“等一下，我得系一下鞋带”我们可以这样说:
Hold on a sec. I need to tie my shoes.
3.我暂时没有工作。
I don't have work now. (X)
这句话的意思是我现在没有工作要做，意思就是我现在很闲。如何地道的表达“暂时没工作”？英语中有一个词组：between jobs.这是个非常形象的表达，意思是处于两个工作之间的空档期，正在找工作或者有意愿继续工作。
比如：
I'm between jobs right now. Still haven't found anything I want to do.
我现在暂时没有共做还没有找到自己想做的工作。
所以，正确表达“我暂时没有工作”我们可以说：
I' m between jobs at the moment.
4.你知道还要多久吗?
Do you know how long will it take?(X)
除了用do you know来表示 “你知道”，还可以用any idea…？需要注意的是，这都包含名词性从句，这个从句应该用陈述句的语序。
所以正确的表达是:
Any idea how much longer this is gonna take?
Do you know how long this is gonna take?
5.我得顺便去趟药店。
I have to drop by to go to the drugstore. (X)
这句话哪里不对呢，这就犯了中式英语的错误，drop by后面可以直接
跟地名，如：
Drop by a place
Stop by a place
Swing by a place
都可以表示顺便去某某地方。直接说，drop by the drugstore就可以了。
那么这句话我们可以说:
I need to swing by the drugstore.
I've got to drop by the drugstore.
I gotta stop by the pharmacy.
6.我也这么想。
I think so. (X)
"I think so”意思是我认为某事应该是真的，但又不是很确定，中文可以翻译成：我觉得是的，或者可能是吧。
使用场景：
A: Is she married?
B: I think so.
她结婚了吗？
应该结了吧。
或者：
A: Is it a good idea?
B: I think so.
这个想法好吗？
我觉得挺好的。
那么“我也这么想。"我们可以怎么说呢:
I had the same thought.
I thought the same thing.
That's what I was thinking too.
That's what I thought too.
That makes two of us.
7 .你能把剪刀递给我吗？
Could you please hand me over that scissors? (X)
这句英文中错就错在了，犯了“意象总维”的错误，“递给…”意象性的理解为“hand over”。但其实hand over的意思是把…上交给某人。例如:
Hand over the phone to the teacher.
把手机交给老师。
如果表示“把.....递给某人”面以说:
Hand sb. sth.
Hand sth. to sb.
Pass sb. sth.
Pass sth. to sb.
所以正确的说法是:
Can you pass/hand me the scissors?
Can you pass me those scissors?
8.我等会顺道去你家把你的东西给你。
I will drop by at your house and give your stuffs to you.(X)
这个句子中，顺道去…顺便拜访…可以直接使用drop by somewhere.
需要注意的是：drop by后面不能加介词短语，可以直接“地方”，
比如：drop by your place, drop by your office.
也可以用stop by和swing by来表示。
而“顺便把东西给某人”，可以用drop off这个短语很地道，可以表
示“把某个东西送到某个地方”或者“把某人送到某个地方”
例如:
Just drop me off at the intersection.
就在下个路口把我放下吧。
所以“我等会顺道去你家把你的东西给你。"这句话正确的说法应该
是:
I'll drop by your place and drop off your stuff later.
9.我们一起吃晚饭，聊聊近况吧。
Let's have dinner together and talk. (X)
"talk”这个词就是you use spoken language to express your thoughts, ideas, or feelings.意思是谈话，说话，讲话。和聊聊近况还有点差距。
聊聊近况，叙旧，我们有个很简洁的词：catch up。例如：
I promise you to catch up with you later.
我保证晚点跟你聊聊近况。
如果catch up后面跟具体的人,
例如：
和某人叙旧
Catch up with sb.
聊聊彼此的近况
Catch up with each other
所以“我们一起吃晚饭，聊聊近况吧。"这句话正确的说法应该是:
Let's have dinner and catch up.
Let's catch up over dinner.
10.我整晚都在写这篇论文。
I cost whole night writing this paper. (X)
“花费…时间”我们可以说：Sb. Spend sometime on sth.例如:
I spent two hours on this puzzle.
我花了两个小时做这个拼图。
或者spend time doing…
I spent two hours solving the puzzle.
或者 it takes sb. some time to do sth.
这个拼图花了我两个小时。
It took me two hours to solve the puzzle.
而不一般不使用cost。Cost主要表示花费钱财，或者付出一定代价。
例如：
It cost me a lot to get there.
去哪里花了我不少钱。
所以“我整晚都在写这篇论文。"这句话正确的说法应该是:
I spent the whole night on this paper.
I spent the whole night writing the paper.
I worked on this paper the whole night.
I was writing this paper the whole night.
11.你要这个平板干嘛？
What do you need the tablet for? (X)
首先我们先好清楚“用…做…”可以用want...for...或“need...for...” 。如果对for后面的内容进行提问，相对应的特殊疑问句就应该用what引导。如:
What do you need this tablet for?
或者不用介词for,疑问词用 why.
Why do you need this tablet?
正确表达:你要这个平板干嘛？
我们可以说：
What do you want the tablet for?
What do you need the pad for?
注意不要所有的平板都用"iPad"来表示哦，iPad只是众多品牌中的一种。
