在这里come to nothing 就是不了了之的意思。同时come to nothing 还可以翻译成没有结果了，失败、落空等意思。
比如 : My plan came to nothing because I didn't have enough money. (因为没有足够多的钱，我的计划落空了)
Wait and see. Your plan will come to nothing. (等着瞧吧，你的计划会落空。)
