狐狸和狗(Fox and dog)
狐狸偷偷地溜进羊群里,抱起一只羔羊,假惺惺抚摸着他。狗问狐狸在干什么,他说:“我在逗他,与他玩耍呢。”狗又说:“现在你若不放下这小羊,我将叫你尝尝狗的抚摸。”
寓意:对于像狐狸一样狡猾的人,我们不能有丝毫的善意,要大胆地以牙还牙。

寓意:智慧的魅力战胜了形体和外表的美丽。A Fox and a Leopard were disputing about their looks,and each claimed to be the morehandsome of the two.The Leopard said,"Look at my smart coat; you have nothing tomatch that."But the Fox replied,“Your coat may be smart,but my wits are smarter still."
Moral: the charm of wisdom conquers the beauty of form and appearance.

狐狸与猴子同行,一路上都在争吵谁的家世更高贵。他们各自坚持着夸耀自己,边说边来到一个路边满是墓碑的地方。这时,猴子停下来,四处观望,然后放声大哭。“你为什么这样呀?”狐狸忙问道。猴子指着那些墓碑,说:“你在这里看到的'所有墓碑都是我祖先的荣誉,他们当时可都是杰出的人士!”狐狸沉默了一会儿,但是很快就反驳道:“噢!接着吹吧,先生,不会有人揭穿你的——我相信,他们之中没有人能站起来反驳你。”
寓意:当谎言无法被拆穿时,吹牛者便会夸夸其谈。

一只狐狸不小心掉进了井里,他挣扎了半天,仍没办法爬上去,只好待在井里。一只公山羊觉得口渴极了,于是来到这口井边找水喝,却看见狐狸在井下。于是,山羊问狐狸:“这井水好不好喝?”狐狸觉得机会来了,心中暗喜,于是装模作样地极力赞美井水好喝,说:“这水是天下第一泉,清甜爽口。你快点下来,我们俩一起分享这甘甜的井水。”口渴难耐的公山羊信以为真,便不假思索地跳了下去。当他咕咚咕咚痛饮完后,才发现没办法出井了,只好与狐狸一起共商出井的办法。狐狸早有准备,他狡猾地说:“我倒有一个好方法。你用前脚扒在井墙上,再把角竖直了,我从你后背跳上井去,再拉你上来,这样,我们就都得救了。”公山羊接受了狐狸的提议,狐狸踩着他的后脚,跳到他背上,然后再从山羊角上用力一跳,终于跳出了井口。狐狸上去以后,准备独自逃离。公山羊便指责狐狸,说道:“我们说好你跳出井后,再把我拉出井的。现在你这样做,不是太不守信用了吗?”狐狸回过头对公山羊说:“喂,朋友,你的头脑如果像你的胡须那样完美,你就不至于在没看清出口之前就盲目地跳下去了。"
寓意:聪明的人应当事先考虑清楚事情的结果,然后再去做。

寓意:有些劝告并非出于好意,而是为了自己的利益。
