有人知道历史上的第一个程序员是什么时候诞生的吗？
答对了，是1840s，第一个程序员的名字叫做Ada Lovelace，也是第一位提出电脑不应该仅仅是一个加大版计算器的人。
1833年的五月，十七岁的Lovelace遇到了四十岁的 Charles Babbage ，他们一起发现了这个名叫“分析引擎”的点子的潜力，于是他们决定将还需要人工操作的电子机械"计算机"进行一次史诗级的大升级：将当时只能做基础。
1843年她翻译并发表了关于Analytical Engine的文章，一经问世全然轰动：
A new, a vast, and a powerful language is developed for the future use of analysis, in which to wield its truths so that these may become of more speedy and accurate practical application for the purposes of mankind than the means hitherto in our possession have rendered possible. Thus not only the mental and the material, but the theoretical and the practical in the mathematical world, are brought into more intimate and effective connection with each other. -- Ada Lovelace

之后就是众所周知的计算机之父图灵和图灵机的问世，图灵机的问世代表了计算机的发明，是一个里程碑式的存在。
时间线再到了1941年，电子（electronic）计算机的发明成为了一大进步，Konrad Zuse 成为了第一个在电子计算机上写过代码的人，在那个年代可谓是如同第一个踏上月球的人的存在一样。
直到1945年，历史上的第一台点计算机ENIAC，带动了计算机的又一革新。
这台电子计算机的发明成功带带动了很多女工进行插卡计算，他们的名字有Kay McNulty, Betty Jennings, Betty Snyder, Marlyn Wescoff, Fran Bilas and Ruth Lichterman。
