One day, some children got together and were talking to each other.
有一天，一些孩子聚在一起闲聊。
They all lived in wealthy (富有的) families.
他们都生活在富裕的家庭里。
One girl spoke confidently (自信的), “My family is very rich. Both of my parents are knowledgeable.”
其中一个女孩自信地说：“我家里很富有。我的父母是学识渊博的人。”
One boy was listening to the girl and said, “If your name ends with '-sen', you will be miserable (悲惨的).”
有个男孩听了女孩的话后说：“如果你的名字结尾带有森的话，你会很悲惨。”
“Well, I feel lucky I have no '-sen' at the end of my name.”
“很庆幸我的名字末尾没有森。”
Then, the girl spoke again, “You're right. I have a friend whose name is 'Martsen', and his family is so poor."
然后，女孩又说道：“你说的对。我有个朋友名叫‘马森’，而且他家里很穷。”
Another boy said holding up his head confidently,“My father is in a high position. Everybody is afraid of him.”
另一个男孩抱着脑袋自信地说道：“我父亲地位很高。人人都惧怕他。”
At that moment, one boy was listening to this conversation (对话) behind a door.
就在那时，一个男孩在门后面的听到了这段对话。
He was poor, and his name ended with '-sen'.
他很穷，而且他的名字结尾有“森”。
He could not mix with the children because he was so poor.
他无法跟这些孩子们在一起玩就是因为他太穷了。
"My life is so sad.I can never be a great man."He envied all the children in the room.
“我的生活真悲惨。我永远都不会成为一个大人物。”他羡慕房间里所有的孩子。
As time went by, all the children grew up.
随着时间的流逝，孩子们渐渐长大。
It is said that a millionaire was living in the town.
据说城市住着一位百万富翁。
A lot of people wanted to visit his house.“This is such a wonderful house. Whose house is this?”
很多人都想去他家拜访。“多么漂亮的房子啊。这是谁的房子？”
The owner of the house was the poor boy. The boy grew up to be a great sculptor (雕刻家).
房子的主人正是当初那个可怜的男孩。男孩长大后成为一名著名的雕塑家。
Even though he was not born rich, and his name ended with '-sen', the boy became a great man.
虽然他并不是含着金汤匙出生，并且他的名字叫“森”，但是男孩还是成了一个伟大的人。
The children in the room were all wrong.
那时候房间里的孩子们所说的话都错了。
