《A Tree is Nice》
Trees are very nice.They fill up the sky.
树真好，高高的大树遮住了天空。
They go beside the rivers and down the valleys.They live up on the hills.
树长在河边，树长在山谷，树长在高高的山顶上。
Trees make the woods.
They make everything beautiful.
很多很多树在一起，就叫做大森林。
树让一切都变得那么好。
Even if you have just one tree, it is nice too.
A tree is nice because it has leaves.
The leaves whisper in the breeze all summer long.
如果你有一棵树，那也很好。
因为树上有好多树叶，那个夏天，都可以听到风吹树叶沙沙作响。
In the fall, the leaves come down and we play in them.We walk in the leaves and roll in the leaves.
We build playhouses out of the leaves.
Then we pile them up with our rakes and have a bonfire
秋天，树叶纷纷落下，我们在落叶中玩耍。
一双小脚蹚着落叶，连滚带爬好不欢畅。
我们用落叶造房子，把落叶堆成山，点燃篝火。
A tree is nice because it has a trunk and limbs.
We can climb the tree and see over all the yards.
We can sit on a limb and think about things.
Or play pirate ship up in the tree.
树真好，它长着粗壮的树干和枝条。
我们爬到树上看各家的院子。
我们坐在树杈上静静地思考。
我们还在树上嬉笑玩耍、扮演海盗。
If it is an apple tree we can climb it to pick the apples.
如果它是苹果树，我们就爬上去摘苹果。
Cats get away from dogs by going up the tree.
Birds build nests in trees and live there.
Sticks come off the trees too.
We draw in the sand with the sticks.
猫儿蹿到树上，躲开追它的狗。
鸟儿在树上做巢，快乐地生活。
干枯的树枝从树上跳下来，
让我们拿来在沙滩上画画儿。
A tree is nice to hang a swing in.Or a basket of flowers.
It is a good place to lean your hoe while you rest.

The cows lie down in the shade when it is hot.

A tree is nice for a house to be near.
The tree shades the house and keeps it cool.

The tree holds off the wind and keeps the wind from blowing the roof off the house sometimes.

A tree is nice to plant.You dig the biggest hole you can and put the little tree in.
Then you pour in lots of water and then the dirt.
You hang the shovel back in the garage.
Every day for years and YEARS you watch the little tree grow.
You say to people,"I planted that tree."
