很多小伙伴会说，就说some或a few表示几个，然后many friends表示很多几十个朋友。
但是实际上，英语中还有更精准对应的表达噢！我们来看一下到底是哪几个。
“几个”英语可以直接说a couple。
对的，你没看错，就是我们经常看到的couple，俗称cp表示对象。
看下Couple的英文解释：
If you refer to a couple of people or things, you mean two or approximately two of them, although the exact number is not important or you are not sure of it.
a couple of...可以表示“两个”或“一对”，但是也可以表示两三个，几个这种泛指。
英语例句：
① He thinks you two are a couple.
他觉得你俩是一对。
② There are a couple of things I want to discuss.
有几个事情我想讨论下。
但是要注意：在口语里有时省去of，比如 a couple hours几个小时，a couple more tables再多几个桌子。
“十几个”的英文我们可以借用dozen。
很多人会说dozen不是一打，表示12个吗？不急，我们看下英文解释：
If you have a dozen things, you have twelve of them and you can also refer to a group of approximately twelve things or people as a dozen.
也就是说a dozen可以表示一打12个（如一打鸡蛋叫a dozen eggs），但是，也可以表示大约12左右，十几个的意思。
但是为了区分，如果要用a dozen表示十多个（vague含糊表达），最好说成about a dozen或者a dozen or so这种表达更佳。
英语例句：
① He ordered a dozen red roses.
他订了12支玫瑰。
② I‘ve done it, like, a dozen times. (选自《生活大爆炸》)
我都做这个，大概，十多次了。
* 这里加了个like，有思考一下含糊给出答案，所以可以翻译成十多次。
“几十个”的英文我们还是用dozen，只不过是dozens of，这里要加上of哦。
英语例句：
① Two people were killed and dozens were injured in the clash.
这种冲突造成两人死亡，几十人受伤。
② Dozens of students got together.
几十个学生聚在了一起。
