为了健康，很多人每年都会体检。“体检”英语怎么说？可不是body check！
body check ≠体检
body，英 ['bɒdɪ] ， 美 ['bɑdi]
通常表示：身体；不过body还可以表示“尸体”。
所以body check有“尸检”的意思，老外听完可能会被吓一跳！
为了避免误解，“体检”可以这样说：
<1> check-up
check-up，['tʃekʌp]
表示：体格检查、体检。
【例句】
The disease was detected during a routine check-up.
这个病是在例行体检时查出来的。
<2> health check
体检也就是健康检查，health是健康、保健。
【例句】
I feel much more reassured when I've been for a health check.
体检之后我感到放心多了。
<3> physical examination
physical是“身体的”， examination是检测，physical examination可以表示：体格检查。
【例句】
I have a physical examination every year.
我每年都做体检。
the student body
the student body不是”学生的身体“，而是指：全体学生、学生团体。body在这里表示：一群人，群体，团体。可以用a body of people来表示：一群（…的）人、群体。
【例句】
I was elected the student body president at my college.
我被选为校学生会主席。
wine with good body
字面意思是：酒有好身体，其实是指：酒很香醇。body在这里表示：醇度、浓度。
【例句】
I like a dry wine with good body.
我喜欢口感好的干白葡萄酒。
keep/hold body and soul togetherbody and soul表示身体和灵魂，身心；keep/hold body and soul together：表示：勉强度日。
【例句】
