简单句和复合句的区别：
简单句只有一个主谓结构；而复合句包括两个或者两个以上主谓结构。

she knew it.（简单句）
she has known it and we needn't tell her about it.(复合句：并列句）
she knew thathe had come back from London.(复合句：宾语从句）
