二、strike的常用搭配：
1. be/go on strike 在罢工；举行罢工
I won't be on strike today. 今天我不会去参加大罢工。They plan to go on strike for better working conditions. 他们计划为改善工作条件而举行罢工。
2.strike(v.) for; strike (n.) for 为…… 而罢工
Thee workers are going to strike for their welfare
工人们将为争取自己的福利而罢工。
The unions called a general strike for Sunday. 协会命令为星期日来一次总罢工。
3.strike(n.) against; strike(n.) against 为反对……而罢工
The Workers are on strike against bad working conditions.
工人们正在罢工反对恶劣的工作条件。
They decided to strike against the dismissal of a colleague.
他们决定罢工抗议解雇他们的同事。
4. strike at向...打击
You don't want her to strike at you with her paw.
你可不会希望她用爪子攻击你吧。
5 strike out 打击，打出；划掉
He lost his temper and struck out wildly．他动了肝火，大打出手。
They struck out the name from the list. 他们把这个名词从名单上划掉了。
6.strike on/upon 突然想到
I struck on the idea when at work yesterday. 昨天在干活时，我突然想到了这个主意。
7.strike up 奏起
The band struck up as the distinguished guests entered. 当贵宾走进时，乐队开始奏乐。
8.It strikes sb.that/what-clause 感到……
It strikes me that we have really learnt a great deal there. 我觉得我们确实在那儿学到了许多东西。
