《Be Quiet!》安静点！
嘘！有人睡觉了，安静点儿！
大朋友、小朋友们都可以控制自己安静点儿，不要说话，不要打扰别人。但是小动物们呢？
在农场里，有鸡、鸭、鹅、马、牛、狗，羊……他们会安静点儿吗？
当动物们都安静了，会发生什么事儿呢？
Old MacDonald had a farm.
年迈的麦克唐纳德有一间农场。
He was getting very old and very grumpy.
他已经上了年纪并且脾气暴躁。
“Why are you so grumpy? ” asked his friends. "You have the best farm in the land."
他的朋友们都问他“你为什么这么暴躁啊？你已经拥有了这片土地上最好的农场了。”
“It is too noisy!” said Old MacDonald.
老麦克唐纳德回答说：“因为他们实在是太吵了。”
“Cock-a doodle-doo," went the cockerel.
'Bark, bark," went the dog.
"Be quiet!" said Old MacDonald.
大公鸡叫喔喔叫。小狗汪汪汪。”给我安静点儿！“老麦克唐纳德说。
”Moo," went the cow.
"Cluck,cluck," went the hen.
"Brum,brum," went the tractor.
大奶牛哞哞叫。老母鸡咯咯哒咯咯哒。拖拉机突突突。
“Be quiet!" shouted Old MacDonald.
"If I have to ask once more the I'm going."
The farm went quiet. Nobody dared to make a sound.
”都给我安静点儿！“老麦克唐纳德吼着。”别让我再说第二遍。“ 农场里渐渐安静了下来，没人再敢发出一点儿声响。
The cockerel did not crow...
...so Old MacDonald slept in.
大公鸡没有再喔喔叫早，所以老麦克唐纳德睡了个大懒觉。
The dog did not bark...
...so the sheep got lost.
狗狗不再汪汪叫，所以山羊都跑丢了。
The cow did not moo...
...so there was no milk.
奶牛也都不再哞哞叫，所以……也没有产牛奶了。
The hens did not cluck...
...so there were no eggs.
老母鸡不再咯咯咯，他们也不下蛋了。
The tractor stayed in the shed. The field was not dug up. The corn was not planted.
拖拉机停在车棚里。土地也没有人犁了。作物也没有人种了。
"No milk? No eggs? No corn? That's no way to run a farm," said Young MacDonald. "Shall I run it for you?" "没有牛奶，没有鸡蛋，没有作物，那农场拿什么经营？要我自己给你经营吗？" 小麦克唐纳德生气的质问着。
”Yes, please!“ laughed Old MacDonald."Whoopee! Now I can do all the things I wang to do..."
”好啊好啊，哈哈，现在我可以做点自己想做的事儿了。“ 老麦克唐纳德说着。
