1、shy away（from sth）
都知道“shy”的意思是“害羞的”，可这是它作为形容词的意思，用作动词什么意思呢？牛津词典解释如下：

例句：

3、Herculean /ˌhɜːkjuˈliːən/
这个单词是不是很熟悉？Hercules or Heracles（赫拉克勒斯）总该听说过吧，他是希腊神话中的英雄人物，通过完成十二项十分艰巨的任务（“赫拉克勒斯的功绩”）而证明了他的勇气和力量。Herculean也就由此发源而来，意为：[ usually before noun] needing a lot of strength, determination or effort 费力的；需要决心的；艰巨的。举个例子：
