妈妈帮你剥……吧。这句话翻译成英文，并非都是let mommy peel the … for you，剥的东西不同，英文也不同。
1. Peel 剥或削水果和蔬菜等
通常来讲，如果某物的皮和去皮后的部分是紧紧贴合的，用peel。
(1) 大部分水果，如：
Apple 苹果、banana 香蕉、pear 梨、orange 橘子
关于“剥葡萄”，说法不一，有人用peel，有人用skin，或者take the skin off，详见标题2。
(2) 大部分蔬菜，如：

(3) Shellfish 贝类

(2) 用hammer（锤子）

(4) 用牙嗑

妈妈喜欢嗑瓜子。这句话怎么翻译呢？可以翻译成mommy likes eating seeds，不能翻译成mommy likes cracking seeds open. 因为“嗑瓜子”暗含的意思是“吃瓜子”，强调的不是“嗑”的过程。
(5) 磕
Mommy will crack the egg on the counter.
妈妈在台子上一磕，鸡蛋就裂开了。
在英文中，人们使用crack这样的动词，表达“夹”、“砸”、“嗑”、“磕”，表达的不是动作本身，而是一种结果。
那么，如果你磕鸡蛋，但是鸡蛋没裂开，怎么表达呢？She tapped the egg on the counter but it didn't crack. 她在台面上磕了一下鸡蛋，但是鸡蛋没裂开。
5. Unwrap a piece of candy 剥糖
