按我们之前某个时期学的：客人进来，服务员会说： Can I help you? Nooooooo! 因为客人进餐厅肯定是需要服务和帮助的，如果还说：“我能帮助你吗？” 就是明知故问了。相信大家在中国吃饭，刚进餐厅没有服务员对说：“我能帮助你吗”。 而是直接问：几位。英文也就是：How many?

怎么用英文描述几个人用餐？
最简单， 最常用的就是：
数字 （please）
How many? 几位？
Four please. 四位。

我要一个三人的餐桌。
*这种形式用在刚进餐厅那会显得有点点啰嗦，服务员问几位， 回答数字就好， 因为用餐table肯定是需要的。 不过， 这句话常用于订餐(book a table)的时候： I need to book a table for four. 我需要定一个四人的桌子。I’ve booked a table for four people. 我已经定了四个人的桌子。

在给别人递东西时，介绍东西时， 虽然很明显是什么东西， 但还是要说明下更有礼貌。

点餐时服务员一般都会礼貌地询问：

我可以点餐吗？或者您需要等几分钟？

“我也是”不要只会“Me too”, 其实有很多词可以代替，而且更地道。
在这里Faith跟Barbie一样都想要白酱鸡肉意大利面，她就可以说:
1. Same here. 给我一样的。
2. I’ll have the same. 给我一样的。
3. The same for me. 给我一样的。

drink是“喝”的意思，drinks是名词“饮料”的总称。
大家可以一整句记下来：What can I get you to drink? 直译是“我要拿点什么给您喝呢”但翻译为“您要喝点什么？”更顺口。
在美国，外出用餐绝大多数都会配上drinks， 因为他们特别喜欢喝，只要比较穷或者不喜欢喝饮料才会喝水。
