（1）turn on 意为“把（水源、煤气、电源等）打开”，其反义短语为turn off “关闭”。例如：

（2）turn up 意为“（把收音机、电视等音量）调高”，其反义短语为turn down “调低”。另外turn up 还有“出现”的意思，turn down 还有“拒绝”的意思。例如：
