今天跟大家分享一个经典童话故事，《金发姑娘和三只熊》的英文原版。
很多爸爸妈妈小时候也听过这个故事，讲的是调皮的金发姑娘不听妈妈劝告，跑进了森林的熊之家。趁三只熊不在，在它们家里大吃大喝，把房子弄得乱七八糟。
别看这个故事情节简单，代入感可是很强的，三只熊回到家时的情节，小朋友听得都跟着紧张呢。
《Goldilocks and The Three Bears》
其实这个经典故事有很多英文版本，我推荐学乐出版的James Marshall童话系列这个版本。
画风有趣，故事内容忠于原创，但又细节满满。
文字部分可能有一点点长，适合有一定英语基础的小朋友。
现在就和宝贝一起分享这个故事的乐趣吧：
Once there was a little girl called Goldilocks.
从前，有个小女孩叫金发姑娘。
"What a sweet child," said someone new in town.
“多可爱的孩子”，一个新来到镇上的人说。
"That's what you think," said a neighbor.
“那是你这么觉得。”一个邻居说。
One morning Goldilocks's mother sent her to buy muffins in the next village.
一天早上，金发姑娘的妈妈让她去隔壁村里买松饼。
You must promise not to take the shortcut through the forest, she said. I'v heard that bears live there.
妈妈说：“你必须保证不走森林里的小路，我听说那里住着熊。”
"I promise," said Goldilocks.
金发姑娘回答说：“我保证。”
But to tell the truth Goldilocks was one of those naughty little girls who do exactly as they please.
但是说实话，金发姑娘是那种特别调皮的女孩子之一，完全不会按照她们所说的去做。
Meanwhile in a clearing deeper inside the forest, in a charming house all their own, a family of brown bears was sitting down to breakfast.
与此同时，在森林深处，一所迷人的房子里，棕熊一家正坐在餐桌前享用早餐。
“Patooie!” cried big old Papa Bear. “This porridge is scalding!” “I've burned my tongue!”
“啊呸！”熊爸爸大喊道，“这粥也太烫了吧！我的舌头都被烫伤了！”
“I'm dying!” cried Baby Bear.
熊宝宝大叫到，“我要烫死了！”
“Now really,” said Mama Bear, who was of medium size. “That's quite enough.”
“现在真的，”用着中等尺寸的熊妈妈说，“确实是够烫的。”
“I know,” said Papa Bear. “Why don't we go for a spin while the porridge is cooling?”
“我知道了，”熊爸爸说，“为什么我们不出去转转等粥凉一些呢？”
“Excellent,” said Mama Bear.
熊妈妈说，“太好了。”
So they got on their rusty old bicycle off they went.
所以他们骑上生锈的自行车走了。
A few minutes later Goldilocks arrived at the bears' house.
几分钟后金发姑娘来到了小熊家。
She walked right in without even bothering to knock.
她径直走了进去甚至都没有敲门。
On the dining room table were three inviting bowls of porridge. “I don't mind if I do.”said Goldilocks, helping herself to the biggest bowl.
在饭厅的餐桌上有三碗美味诱人的粥，金发姑娘说，“我一点也不介意这样做。”说着她奔向了最大的那碗。
But the porridge in the biggest bowl was much too hot.
但是大碗里的粥太烫啦！
"Patooie!” cried Goldilocks. And she spat it out.
“啊呸！”金发姑娘喊着，把粥吐了出来。
Next she tasted the porridge in the medium-sized bowl. But that porridge was much too cold.
接着，她尝了中碗里的粥，但是太凉了。
Then Goldilocks tasted the porridge in the little bowl and it was just right——neither too hot nor too cold.
然后，她尝了小碗里的粥，正合适，不冷也不热。
In fact she liked it so much that she gobbled it all up.
事实上，她非常喜欢，并全部喝光了。
Feeling full and satisfied Goldilocks thought it would be great fun to have a look around.
吃饱喝足的金发姑娘想，在这到处逛逛肯定很有趣。
Right away she noticed a lot of coarse brown fur everywhere. "They must have kitties, " she said.
她立刻注意到到处都有很多粗糙的棕色皮毛，他们肯定养了很多猫。
In the parlor there were three chairs.
客厅里有三把椅子。
“I don't mind if I do”, she said. But the biggest chair was much too hard, and she just couldn't get comfortable.
她说：“我一点也不介意这样做。” 但是最大那把椅子太硬了，她坐得一点也不舒服。
Next she sat in the medium-sized chair. But that chair was much too soft. (And she thought she might never got out of it.)
之后她坐在中等大小的椅子上，但是，它太软了（她觉得自己坐上去可能就下不来了）
Then Goldilocks sat in the little chair, and that was just right——neither too hard nor too soft.
然后金发姑娘坐在最小的椅子上，刚刚好，不硬也不软。
In fact she liked it so much that she rocked and rocked——until the chair fell completely to pieces.
事实上，她非常喜欢那把椅子，于是她摇啊摇，直到椅子散架了。
Now all that rocking left Goldilocks quite tuckered out.
现在金发姑娘也在椅子上摇累了。
"I could take a little snooze," she said.
她说：“我可以小睡一会。”
So she went to look for a comfy place to nap.
于是，她去找一个舒服的地方休息。
Upstairs were three beds.
楼上有三张床。
"I don't mind if I do," said Goldilocks. And she got into the biggest one. But the head of the biggest bed was much too high.
金发姑娘说：“我一点也不介意这样做。”于是，她上了最大的那张，但是，大床的床头太高了。
Next she tried the medium-sized bed. But the head of that bed was much too low. Then Goldilocks tried the little bed, and it was just right.
然后她试了下中等大小的床，但是床头太矮了，之后金发姑娘试了最小的床，刚刚好。
Soon she was all nice and cozy and sound asleep. She did not hear the bears come home.
很快，她就舒服地睡着了。她没有听到熊们回家的声音。
The three bears were mighty hungry. But when they went in for breakfast, they could scarcely believe their eyes.
三只熊很饿，但是，当它们想要吃早餐时，它们不敢相信自己的眼睛。
“Somebody has been in my porridge” said Papa Bear.
熊爸爸说：“有人动了我的粥。”
“Somebody has been in my porridge,” said Mama Bear.
熊妈妈说：“有人动了我的粥。”
“Somebody has been in my porridge,” said Baby Bear. And eaten it all up.
熊宝宝说：“有人动了我的粥，还把它全部喝光了。”
In the parlor the three bears were in for another little surprise.
在客厅里，三只熊发现了另一个惊吓。
"Somebody has been sitting in my chair！" said Papa Bear.
熊爸爸说：“有人坐过我的椅子。”
"Somebody has been sitting in my chair." said Mama Bear.
熊妈妈说：“有人坐过我的椅子。”
“Somebody has been sitting in my chair，” said Baby Bear. "And broken it to smithereens."
熊宝宝说：“有人坐过我的椅子，还把它弄坏了。”
The three bears went upstairs on tiptoe（not knowing what they would discover）.
三只小熊踮着脚尖上楼了（他们还不知道还会发现什么）。
At first everything seemed fine.
第一眼看上去没什么不对的。
But then Papa Bear lay down on his big brass bed.
直到熊爸爸躺在他的大铜床上。
“Somebody has been lying in my bed!” He cried. And he was not amused.
“有人睡过我的床！”熊爸爸喊道，并且感到很不开心。
“Egads！” cried Mama Bear. “Somebody has been lying in my bed.”
“天哪！”熊妈妈叫道，“有人睡过我的床。”
"Look!” cried Baby Bear. "Somebody has been lying in my bed. And she's still there."
“快看！”熊宝宝喊道，“有人睡了我的床，她现在还在那。”
“Now see here!” roared Papa Bear.
熊爸爸吼到：“现在看这里！”
Goldilocks woke up with a start.
金发姑娘被吓醒了。
And her eyes nearly popped out of her head.
她的眼睛几乎从头上冒出来了。
But before the bears could demand a proper explanation. Goldilocks was out of bed, out the window, and on her way home.
但是在小熊们要求一个合理的解释之前，金发姑娘跳下来床，飞出窗外，跑回了家。
“Who was that little girl？” asked Baby Bear.
熊宝宝问：“那个小女孩是谁？”
“I have no idea,” said Mama Bear.
熊妈妈说：“不知道。”
“But I hope we never see her again.”
“但是我希望别让我们再看到她了。”
And they never did.
后来他们的确再也没有看到过。
