六一儿童节联欢会
如何翻译“联欢会”、“晚会”等词，一直比较困扰大家，今天我来帮大家梳理一下：
(1) 联欢会：celebration show，亦可简称为celebration；
(2) 晚会：不能译为evening show，因为它指代各种形式的晚间节目，包括新闻、访谈等，可译为evening gala，gala指大型庆典；
(3) 才艺表演：talent show；
(4) 汇报演出：recital [ri'saitəl]，通常在学期或学年末；
(5) 音乐会：concert，演唱或演奏，不含舞蹈；
(6) 综艺晚会：variety show，包括歌舞、杂技、魔术等。
(7) 嘉年华：carnival，亦作fair，和中国的庙会类似，有各种游艺、小吃、游乐园项目、表演等。
Preparing for the Show 为演出做准备
1. I heard your kindergarten will hold a Children's Day Celebration. Would you like to invite mommy and daddy to see it?
我听说你们幼儿园要举办一个儿童节联欢会，你想邀请妈妈爸爸去看么？
2. There is a rehearsal in the morning. We can't be late today, otherwise you will miss it.
上午有个彩排。咱们今天不能迟到，要不该赶不上了。

5. I have prepared for you the costume ['kɔstju:m] your teacher asked for.
我已经按老师要求给你准备好演出服了。
6. Have you mastered every dance move? Should we practice more?
你掌握舞蹈的每个动作了么？咱们再练练？
During the Show 演出中
7. Let's check our ticket to find our seat number. Hmm, we are Row 6, Seat 6.
咱们看一眼票，查一下座位号。嗯，咱们是6排6号。
先说排号，再说座位号。上学时我们都学过，写英文地址要按从小到大的顺序，和中文相反，但这一原则并非适用于所有情况。
8. A child and their parent share one seat. You can just sit on my lap.
小孩和大人坐一个座位。你可以坐我腿上。
(1) 当你不确定性别时，用their。
(2) Sit on my knees / legs外国人也可以理解，但是sit on my lap是最地道的说法。
9. Let's take a look at the program and see what number your class is.
咱们看一眼节目单，看看你们班是第几个。
10. The show will begin in five minutes. Guess which teachers will be the hosts?
演出5分钟后就开始了。猜猜哪位老师是主持人？
11. The curtains are opening and the show is beginning. Let's clap our hands.
大幕拉开了，演出开始了。咱们鼓掌。
亦可用Let's applaud，但clap our hands更适用于孩子。
12. It's almost your turn. You have to go backstage, gather with your class and wait for your turn.
马上就到你了。你得到后台和你们班集合，候场。
13. I will hand you over to the teacher. This is your first performance but don't be nervous. You will do fine.
我把你交给老师了。这是你第一次演出，不过别紧张。你肯定行。
After the Show 演出后
14. You did a wonderful job in the show. Congratulations and Happy Children's Day!
你表演的太棒了。祝贺你，儿童节快乐！
15. You class is going to take a group picture. Go join them.
你们班要拍集体照了。赶快去。
16. I took a video of you. Let's watch it together with daddy when we get home.
我给你录了一段视频。咱们到家和爸爸一起看。
17. The teacher put makeup on you. You look so pretty, but we have to wash your face well tonight.
老师给你化妆了。真好看，不过咱们晚上得好好洗脸。
