综合目前的官方资料及真题来看，我们可以将雅思阅读分为大致五类，包括同义词，近义词，同根词，上下义词及解释说明。
所谓同义词其实就是两个单词是同一个中文意思，比如be similar to, resemble, like这几个词都可翻译成“和…相似”，这就是同义词。而雅思阅读中同义词的比例在考试中出现的相当多的，主要集中于相对基础简单的题型或题目中，如填空题，判断题，较简单的选择题中常常考到此类同义替换。

由此我们能够清晰地看到paraphrase 是评分标准中不可或缺的一部分。
Listening 听力
选择题是听力考试中难度比较高的一种题型，因为无法写下大量信息，speaker在会用大量的同义表达来代替题目中的原文原词，以此增加难度。选择题答案往往是那些同义的表达。
Reading 阅读
阅读题卷面上所包含的词汇是四个科目中最多的，掌握大量的同义词之后，再运用做题技巧，在成绩上就将会明显提高。
Writing 写作
相信大家在写作课上，写作文的时候，老师都会提醒，同一个词不要出现多次，否则就会被认为词汇多样性不足，导致评分比较低。
