近日，话题#梦想改造家的最差设计出现了#冲上微博热搜。
据悉，在家装改造节目《梦想改造家》中，住在甘肃白银黄土高原上一座围合小院的一位老人想要翻建老房子，等孩子们退休后都能回到老家来，“做人有根有底”。而节目中的房屋设计师花了132万，用红砖、木材、水泥建造了一座“现代乡村风情”的房子。
A popular TV show in China on home renovations that has run for seven years, featuring renowned designers, recently came under fire on Chinese social media with netizens slamming the makeover of an earth house in a village as "the worst in history," as it flouted the original intention of the owner and left him with a bill of 1.3 million yuan ($203,700) for rebuilding the house.

节目中，老人对于自家房子改造的要求和期待是：靠近城市现代化、外观整体要洋气、类似二层小别墅的精致。
为此，在正式改造前，老人还领着设计师去看了邻居家的二层洋房别墅。
该期节目播出后引发了网友们的广泛讨论。
Although the family didn't express their dislike of the final outcome, audiences, however, picked apart the design, as well as the 1.32 million yuan price tag for the construction.
Many of them took to microblogging platform Weibo to accuse the architect of manipulating the family to pay for his artistic but impractical ideas, with some comparing a neighboring Western-style villa to be of superior design.
节目组、委托人回应
21日晚，《梦想改造家》节目组发布声明，称由于受到西北地区疫情的影响，改造中途多次遭到中断。
节目拍摄时改造还未完工，基于当地温度过低，已经无法正常开展施工，部分屋顶和大部分屋内墙面都未完成。目前节目中呈现的事实上是一个尚未完成的作品。
Responding to the criticism, producers of the program aired on Shanghai-based Dragon TV said Sunday that the project hadn't been completed yet, and they would cover half of the construction costs along with the family. However, many social media users argued that the family should be spared any of the costs.
此外，节目组回应称在节目录制前已经与委托人一家协商好，待明年开春将继续完善。明年节目的回访环节将进行持续报道。改造项目的总花费为132万，节目组和委托人子女们各承担一半。
节目组承诺，后续将进一步密切与委托人及其子女持续保持良性沟通，同时也进一步结合委托人的实际生活环境，结合网友的建议持续完善装修，给委托人一家，也给梦改的观众们一个满意的交代。
据新京报，21日晚，房屋改造委托人杜兴昌表示，房子还没有交工，他们一家还没有搬进去住，房子好还是不好等入住后才能客观评价，设计建设费的钱当时交了一些。
