go about sth

着手做某事,忙于做某事

例1:Despite the threat of war, people went about their business as usual.

虽然战争在即,人们照常忙着自己的事。

例2:You're not going about the job in the right way.

你做这事的方法不对。


go after sth/sb

追赶某人;追求某人/某事

例1:She left the room in tears so I went after her.

她流着泪离开了房间,所以我随后追了出去。

例2:We're both going after the same job.

我们俩都在谋求同一份工作。


go against sth/sb

对某人不利;反对;与...不符(相反)

例1:He would not go against his parents' wishes.

他不愿违背父母的意愿。

例2:His thinking goes against all logic.

他的想法完全不合情理。


go ahead

走在前面;进行;着手干(~ with sth)

例1:I'll go ahead and tell them you're on the way.

我要先走一步,告诉他们你在路上。

例2:The government intends to go ahead with its tax cutting plans.

政府拟开始实施减税计划。


go along

继续;进展;赞同某人/事(~ with sb/sth)

例1:Things are going along nicely.

情况进展良好。

例2:I don't go along with her views on private medicine.

在私人行医的问题上,我不敢苟同她的观点。


go around/round

旋转;够每人一份;传播;拜访,参观(~ to)

例1:to go round in a circle 转圈

例2:There aren't enough chairs to go around.

椅子不够坐。

例3:There's a rumor going around that they're having an affair.

谣传他们之间关系暧昧。

例4:I went round to the post office.

我到邮局去了一趟。


go at

攻击某人;拼命干

例1:They went at each other furiously.

他们相互猛烈攻击。

例2:They went at the job as if their lives depended on it.

他们干起活来好像性命攸关似的。


go away

走开;外出;消失

例1:I'm going away on business.

我要出趟差。

例2:The smell still hasn't gone away.

气味还没散尽。


go back

相识;返回(~ to);返回到(~ to);重操旧业

例1:Dave and I go back twenty years.

我和戴夫相识有二十年了。

例2:Can I go back to what you said at the beginning of the meeting?

我想回到你在会议开始时所提的话题,行吗?

例3:She's decided to go back to teaching.

她已决定重新执教。
