之前一期《英语口语天天练》圈子中，我们说了“开开窗透透气”的英语表达，会用到air这个单词。
那本期我们再接再厉，再说说air这个可爱的英语单词。
Air是“空气”，那“in the air”和“on the air”有什么区别呢？
一定要好好学起来，这两个英语词组的使用频率非常的广泛。
首先我们看一下in the air的使用，大家看两个英语例句来感受一下。
You say that something is in the air:
① The plane is in the air.
② Put your hands in the air.
Air可以表示空气，也可以表示天空。
英语例句1：The plan is in the air. 就表示飞机正在天空中飞翔着。
英语例句2：Put your hands in the air. 也就是说，把你的手举起来放在空中。
所以，in the air就按照它的字面意思理解即可，表示在空中。
但是，on the air就有一点点不一样了。
当我们用到on the air这个英语表达的时候，它跟空气其实没有什么关系了。
首先看个英文例句：
① The show has been on the air for over 30 years.
这个电视剧已经播放30年了。
* 注意哦，on the air这个英语表达经常用于电视节目，广播节目在播，类似broadcast播放，播出。
看下英文解释：
You say that a TV or radio programme is on the air or on air (=it is broadcast)
和它对应的表达off the air表示这个节目不再播出了，可能被砍了，也可能完结了。
看个英文例句：
② The radio first went on the air three years ago and it will be taken off the air next month.
这个广播节目3年前开播的，下个月将会被砍掉。
总结一下① in the air 就表示在空气中，在空中。
② on the air 表示这个节目在播。
